Just to put it into perspective... Roald Dahl was part of the British National Curriculum for Primary schools (as books to read to class and have available for free reading). Funfactlet: Roald Dahl was involved in creating in conjunction with a toymaker a better drain for draining excess fluids from craniums. We used to get snow in England, back when I was young, before your parents met. That doesn't quite look like an English village, though. It's close to some places, but the background doesn't quite look right. Ever seen Last of the Summer Wine, set in the Holme Valley? The houses look a little like that, but that wall with a roof on it and that church on the background hillside? Alpine, I think. Check out "Tuscany village street" and "Italian alpine church." The background doesn't have to be from the same place as the foreground.

Not a terribly good bunch of ads, to be honest. The Waitrose one was my favourite, mainly because I went 'Min! From 'Slow Horses!' out loud 😆And if you've never seen 'Slow Horses' you need to get on that, brilliant show!

As a child in Yorkshire in the years 1977-1986, snow wasn't unusual. I can remember red telephone boxes and post boxes being buried in snow. I remember it snowing for 2-3 days at a time, and then being so cold, the drifts took up to 6 weeks to melt. I can remember leaving the pub at around 1am on New Years Day 1996 to find heavy snow falling. It was quite magical. Since then, it has snowed maybe a couple of times each winter, and it's mostly gone within 24-48 hours. I hate global warming. At least snow and ice used to make winter interesting and often beautiful. Months of dull, grey, and wet weather are just miserable.

My local Waitrose has a big poster up with pictures of all the suspects. Last week they put a Guilty sticker over one of them. It'll be interesting to see if the sticker moves from week to week.
