It's close to some places, but the background doesn't quite look right. Ever seen Last of the Summer Wine, set in the Holme Valley? The houses look a little like that, but that wall with a roof on it and that church on the background hillside? Alpine, I think. Check out "Tuscany village street" and "Italian alpine church." The background doesn't have to be from the same place as the foreground.

As a child in Yorkshire in the years 1977-1986, snow wasn't unusual. I can remember red telephone boxes and post boxes being buried in snow. I remember it snowing for 2-3 days at a time, and then being so cold, the drifts took up to 6 weeks to melt. I can remember leaving the pub at around 1am on New Years Day 1996 to find heavy snow falling. It was quite magical. Since then, it has snowed maybe a couple of times each winter, and it's mostly gone within 24-48 hours. I hate global warming. At least snow and ice used to make winter interesting and often beautiful. Months of dull, grey, and wet weather are just miserable.
