His personality played a big part in his music, which is now authentically gone and people feel that it's missing He doesn't have X to bounce off in the studios to either put him in an enjoyable space to make music or artistically push him Unfortunately, Ski is forever gonna be like this. He was a duo with X way too young in his career so it's legit a part of his identity as an artist. If they became a duo after some time they established themselves as solo artists then Ski would recover well and be fine, but that didn't happen Ski is just going to remain an underground artist with decent quality unless he gets co-signed/platformed by a huge artist consistently (Like what Timbaland did to Timberlake or Dre to Eminem)

“Some Rap Songs” by Earl sweatshirt is one of THEE best rap albums ever. Has to be one of the best in the past decade at least. Think about the originality in such a saturated time period it released, think about the abstract and artistic sound scape stylistic approach on production- representing the trenches of earls mind and soul. Think about the message and structure defined throughout the project. The bars and rhyme scheme and patterns. It’s aging like fine wine. Because it is fine wine of the rap industry. It’s an acquired taste. It’s sharp and bold and flavorful. It’s the equivalent to the saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”

Scorpion and Dark Lane Demo Tapes are 9+ and Honestly, Nevermind is an 8. The Fall-Off will be disappointing: I agree but I think it will still be great.
