"She's just in her underwear there..." It's more like workout gear, but there's a good reason it covers so little - as you pointed out, pole dancing requires a lot of strength, but also a lot of _grip._ Having plenty of skin exposed allows you to have good friction on the pole when you need it, without putting all the pressure on small areas of skin (which, as I'm sure you can imagine, could _friggin' hurt)._ I don't know if you're aware, but Dami and Yoohyeon did some poledancing too... (well, Dami did; I'm not sure what you'd call Yoohyeon's... 😂) The corgis Solar was playing with were actually Byul's little bread loaves: Haengwon, Gonggang and Daebak. They're a bunch of tearaways, and basically only obey Byul's dad... 😂 I think you'd enjoy the Queendom series, which was a contest between Mamamoo, (G) I-DLE, Park Bom (formerly of 2NE1), Oh My Girl, Lovelyz and AOA; there's a lot of incredible performances, and fun interaction between the girls...

@thank u previous I LOVED that stage! However, I do wonder about the intent. We all know Mamamoo normally takes things up to eleven, but this was about a twelve. Maybe they just felt they had something to prove. However, we also have Moonbyul rewriting most of Jimin's rap and leaving the rest for Solar to finish. Its actually pretty common (more in boy groups though) for rappers to write their own raps. Every rapper has their own rap style and their own preference on how they want their words to flow. So a lot of rappers are taught to write their own raps. This is why a lot of Kpop rappers have song writing credits, because they contribute to the rap of the song. Moonbyul mentioned on a show once that one of the positives she saw when she switched from being a vocalist to a rapper is that she gets credit for songwriting and gets royalties for it.

One of the reasons Moonbyul is my bias and I love her so much is because you can tell she has a genuine strong bond with moomoos, she's always interacting with us, doing fan service and also there has been many times where she was even moved to tears because she was so grateful for everything. Like, she may not seem like it but along with Hwasa, she's the most sensitive one

i see plenty of others already mentioned jessi's interview with solar (jessi has a show where she interviews different people. they're always rather funny but i swear solar's is the best) and the temporary supergroup she's in with hwasa and two other well-known female artists of different generations. they're releasing a song (proceeds go to charity) in 4 days several of the things in byul's segment were from the show 'queendom'. others were from the radio show she's been hosting every tuesday for about a month now. three of the four mamamoo members are being kept pretty busy of late. solar's starting up a tv show about camping with several other famous korean women (rumor has it that she'll be driving the camper because of her cdl license) on top of her yt channel. byul has her radio show. and hwasa still has her tv show, 'i live alone' and two shorter lived things, one an 'ila' spinoff and the other 'refund sisters', the supergroup mentioned earlier. there's a tv show for the supergroup, 'hanging out with yoo' i think is the name also, several of the songs/performances you skipped were from their solo stages at one of their concerts. the concerts are 4+ hours long (craziness) and each member has a 20 minute solo stage where they do whatever they want, frequently a mix of singing (and rapping for some) and performing in different ways, some of which are covers and others are their original works

In pole dancing there is need for wearing clothes by which there is max contact of skin with the pole for better hold and to prevent accidents, falling and losing grip...what solar is wearing would count as athletic wear not underwear as you said...It is a misconception that the clothes are small to be seductive and pole dancing can only be sexual or sexy in nature...It can be very graceful and beautiful also...you can watch solar perform on solarsido its so graceful and pretty....

They've called each other before schedules (e.g. before Byul's Eclipse stage), during Solar's live stream, during ISAC in their early years... I feel like the fact that Solar is willing to pick up a call from Moonbyul while she's in the restroom says something about their level of comfort with calls LMFAO. (Then again, there's a lot of strange examples of how comfortable they are with each other.) My favorite story for a pre-schedule call is when Solar called Moonbyul not knowing Moonbyul was in the same studio to surprise her on the same show later lol.

Love the video but disagree about the "muscle of the group comment" Wheein is great vocalist but so are the rest of the girls... Mamamoo works because they all pull equal weight in the group as they are all equally talented and hard working. Its been kind of a trend with moomoos recently to try and discredit Solars vocals by trying to prove Wheen is better when they are both equally talented is different regards.

(Solar is my bias btw) They are equal in being unique and bringing something special to the table, for sure. But depending on what kind of vocal skill you value, one will be better than the others imo. Solar has more power, more reach, more resonance. Hwasa has more agility and a one-in-a-billion voice. Moonbyul's the rare alto and Wheein is stability and sweetness. If you look at power, there is no way Wheein, Hwasa and Moonbyul equal Solar. If you look at stability, Solar and Hwasa are only close second to Wheein. Moonbyul is great, but doesn't have the techniques or control of the other 3 (we all know why). Doesn't mean they aren't all good, but they have different strengths (and that means, different weaknesses). Vocally, I happen to think Hwasa's strengths are the best. Her dynamics are insane. But to be fair, near perfect stability and control is the goal of all singers, so I get that he values that a lot and values Wheein's contribution to the group. Bottom line is, I also don't like people discrediting Solar's vocal abilities, but I also think they are not really equal in terms of vocal skills. They complement each other, but they are not the same.

Yes. For new moomoos or who are trying to appear their biases as the best, they need to learn first thing first, mamamoo is mamamoo because of these 4 queens and not one. All of them complement each other and mamamoo is not mamamoo without OT4. So, you can have biases, although I have none since I love equally to all, even though while praising your bias, don't pull the other member down. We love solar for her powerful voice and great enthusiasm, wherein for her honey-sweet vocals, hwasa for her stage presence and raspy voice and vocals, last but not the least, Moonbyul whose raps and unique vocals and charm can makes us crazy.

Thanks for that comment. I was quite unsettled by this "muscle of the group" comment too... It seems to me Austin has read many comments saying Wheein is the underrated member although she is the backbone of mmm vocal-wise and that might be why the said that with the "muscle" comment, but I also think it is wrong to say that this way. Because it kind of discredit the other 3 hard-working members and I think even Wheein herself would not like that, she has so much respect for her leader and other members. At the end of the day, it's not fair to compare them in this way, they each bring something different to the table and they each play their own part in being "the muscle" of the group.

basically the snippets from 20:25 - 22:36 are from Queendom.Queendom took place from June-October I believe (I'm just pulling from memory so don't quote me) the show was about 11 episodes, each EP about 30-40mins. Mamamoo along with 4 other groups, G-idle, Oh My Girl, Lovelyz, AOA, and one solo artist (you will recognize), compete for the title of THE TRUE QUEENS OF KPOP. The queens (or Queen) to be revealed before their synchronous comebacks (which happen to be on the same day). this is a bad way to sum it up, but you get the jist. some of their greatest performances were on queendom *ahem cough cough I Miss You.. anyway that's all fell free to add in anything I forgot to mention about queendom (while keeping it vague and spoiler-free). Unfortunately, the winner was spoiled for me before I even watched the first episode, so I hope this doesn't happen to any of you guys ahahah. I still watched it BEST BELIEVE!

I think she mentioned one time that she was also a little worried about hip movements due to back injury a while back. She was noticeably stiffer, but gradually worked through it. She's probably still not as comfortable with performing those movements...but I feel like that's partially due to being in front of an audience? 'Cause damn, she moved those hips well in a couple of her tiktok vids hahaha.

Her back injury I think made her more conscious of every move. She's more careful so she doesn't injure her back again. Especially since RBW allowed the doctors to overdose her on steroids instead of letting her stay home and recover naturally. Moonbyul rarely complains about anything so moos overlook seriousness of these issues. Even when she mentioned it she quickly blamed herself and said only she was at fault when truly the doctor was at fault and her agency.
