The group that Jihyo almost debuted with was 6MIX. The original were Lena, Nayoung. Cecilia, Jeongyeon, Jisoo(Jihyo), and Minyoung. Cecilia, who is Australian-Chinese, left JYPE and became an actor in China, so she was replaced by Sana. They were set to debut in spring of 2014, but the Sewol Ferry disaster happen, 304 were killed, 250 high school students on a class trip. JYPE cancelled the debut. Jisoo, in frustration left the trainee dorms and moved in with an aunt. There, she comfort ate, a lot. They found her after awhile and told her the plans for the show Sixteen, so she came back, with a few extra kgs. Lena said forget this I'm going back to America. When Jisoo came back, she decided a change needed, so she legally changed her name to Jihyo, the weight loss was a gradual thing and now has one of the buffest bodies in KPOP. You'll notice Jihyo wears a lot sleeveless tops. She even met her new boyfriend at the gym.

Really good comment but we're not sure about the "new boyfriend". We should let Jihyo or him assume if they have something and don't force a relationship. A relationship is already a hard thing, when people push like this or make them assume something that they may not be ready for, it gets harder.

She did some variety shows solo for her promotions fro her solo debut!!! she did some episodes at I Live Alone (you should DEFINITELY watch it!!!) and Jeongyeon also appeared in two episodes (the second was released yesterday) As a once for 7 years, it was so nice seeing her at I Live Alone, so I could see more of Park Jihyo and not Jihyo from Twice!!

Jihyo is so dear to me because she REALLY went through a lot and from so early of an age. With hard work and incredible dedication she made her career happen and she became such a powerful and eye catching performer while also flourishing into a loving, humble, caring and solar human being. She truly is an inspiration. Seeing Jihyo’s smile you can notice that it’s a smile that has depth and it was forged through effort to live to the best of her abilities ❤

One of the greatest qualities of TW & what make them unique & my ULT is that those girls are genuine,natural,laid back & humble! those qualities is what made them have a strong bond with each other & with their fans too; U can doubts if they are that REAL maybe at first or if u saw how some other idols or artists mask off sometimes but when u stay with them, see a lot of their lives , interactions,contents & hear what staff & outsiders say about them u will see that they are so REAL & dont seek approval &consent from people! it's like "like me for who I am or just go" ; They are kinda crazy & so funny too!+u will understand why they are so successful with the cute&fun concept when a lot of groups did that but never had the same impact,its because they are genuinely that adorable & fun;I would recommend idol theater episodes so u can know more about their personalities;

Jihyo once said that she mostly listened to rnb, soul and jazz growing up and that those styles are the ones she enjoys singing the most. And in my opinion her voice fits those music styles really well. I can't remember if she mentioned specific artists that were her influences, just that these styles were the most influential for her. Kinda fun fact on the side, she actually isn't that big of a fan of ballads, she likes singing more upbeat songs, songs she can vibe to while still singing with emotion (like the songs she sang here on Lee Mujins Service).

about 'what is love?' after this, in music show, she just did 'ending fairy' with 'what is love?' pose. :D (can't remember which music show she did. :P) in 'zone' EP. content, when she went to her family house and talk about trainee time, her contract first are for acting but one day JYP heard her singing and change contract to idol (singer?). (for me, i think acting is a very dangerous career, i mean especially when actor/actress get deep into character, which sometime very extreme character (which mean it's different experience, different process of thinking, different environment). to be the character is hard, to stay in the character is harder, to get out of that character is the hardest. (because the experience with different environment need different way of thinking but it's become 'experience' of your life which should not be happen.) that mean, how good you are how dangerous you get in.) for I or E , as Jeongyeon said when she was trainee and Jihyo come to her and said 'we are the same age, let be friends' (Jeongyeon train for 7 year, which mean Jihyo already at JYPE. and remind me of UJB 'yoo Jeongyeon, Jihyo best friend'. :D ) as i saw JYP way (maybe actually, K-ent ways), everything as like a process, to debut in a group, work some music production process and debut as a solo (or sub-unit) to experience more tension little by little, wider also deeper. pretty interesting way. (like SNSD and TTS then Taeyeon) and these experience become 'skill set'. (as i saw SNSD varieties show, even after debut, that are all process of learning, like acting, styling, even normal life behaviours like take care of a child.) anyway, have a good day. :)

I have a theory about Twice that is basically that the bside magic is because both Jihyo and Jeongyeon's voice's are not Kpop voice's and more just pop or jazz and that's what the bsides are the blending of kpop and pop until recently where they just go all out pop. Her album is the same I find no kpop in her album versus Nayeon who is the definition of Kpop and POP is a pure kpop song. OT9 forever (TIMELESS).
