im crying while im at work…his voice is so pure. my feeling for this is that he saying to us that is hard for him to leave us for a little while, so he gonna have to hate us so it doesn’t hurt.. i dunno why but when he looked straight at the camera (in the mv) he was looking into my soul. so it seems like he was directing to us whoever is watching. before enlistment he really took time with us thru his lives and i think it was hard for him to let that go. 😢

Thanks Lory! Hearing him live is soooo beautiful. The Iheartradio live songs are amazing with a live band, especially the rock version of Standing Next to You. There is another song, I am forgetting the name, but I would love to hear JK to play guitar and do an acoustic version live...oh yes, it's Too Sad to Dance. He's worked so hard to perfect his English. My Hate You memory is of my only sister who was my best friend, We never ever fought until she got mad at me one day trying to get me to feel bad over something 'the pandemic' related. She actually hung up the phone on me because I refused to argue with her. No matter how hard I tried sending messages, she wouldn't talk to me. It lasted nearly a year, during which time she got cancer and died.....STILL refusing to talk to me or see me. To this day I don't understand, I loved her so much...but there is a fine line between love and hate, she left without explaining why she punished me in that way. When I meet her again, she's going to have a LOT of explaining to do :)

He has implied that the "you" he is talking to is ARMY. Because while he is in the military, he can't interact with ARMY for a full year and a half. It's even worse than the forced separation between BTS and ARMY during Covid because he could still go live and respond to people on Weverse if he wanted. That's not an option while he's in the military. He worried so much about losing ARMY because of the separation, so this song and the reminder than he can't reach out to us for a while, absolutely breaks my heart.

You are doing so well, keeping yourself together. I wept the first time I heard this one. For all the masterpieces like Seven and Standing Next to You, I honestly believe Jungkook absolutely outdoes himself with the emotional ballads. He has always loved singing them. He's such a romantic at heart, and has the vocal ability to make the listener feel exactly what the song demands. Again, I know my bias is showing, but his voice really is exquisite.
