That's a song that speaks to the depth of Greek history, the suffering, the strong bonds and the rich emotional world Greeks carry due to their history - in this case with a focus on immigration and the loss of the loved ones. There can be a literal meaning to it too, about the physical loss of a child. I've never felt like this for a Eurovision song before, and rarely feel this way with modern Greek songs. As a Greek myself, it makes me proud. I wish Klavdia best of luck. I am happy with the song regardless of how it goes, I just hope it's the chosen one.

The way I interpret it as a Greek: she talks referring to her mother, but it’s metaphorical as she means her mother land, her homeland. She tries to portray the pain and longing of a woman to return to her place and the suffering of the motherland for being separated from her children that have become refugees. Some words of the Pontic dialect are included guiding people to connect it with the refugees of Pontus.

Theres a lot of things that makes this song unique and its pretty sad that only Greeks can understand, especially some words like MANA its not mother or mom hits different in greek language and the way she sings like miroloi and The definition of the word miroloi comes from 2 words fate and say from ancient greek mostly “singing” in funerals and expresses sadness and symbolise the separation from u family cause or death.. Also words like “tzivaeri mou” that no longer in use hits so hard to a greeks because words like this mostly spoken from our grandparents we probably lost in time and as a kid who grew up with my pontius grandmother reminds me of her.. Last thing to mention about the meaning of the song.. its all about the eradication of greeks back then in 1914- 1923 by turks during ottoman empire and symbolise the genocide against greeks of Pontus..

It can be considered a "Mirolòi" song, it is about mourning... I firstly wanna thank you for all your effort and maybe, the study you're gonna put in this song and why it's written and sang! It has to do with the extinction and genocide and their rememberance of Greek Christians from their Motherland, Asia Minor, modern day Turkey, where they lived for more than 3.000 years. Europe is the name Ευρωπη that is 100% GREEK and FANTASIA is φαντασια that means Imagination. This is not a dance song but a funeral song under modern sounds. It expresses the endless sorrow of all Greeks having resided at Pontus Asia Minor who had their ancestors there 100 years ago. The Greeks of Pontus were massacred, killed, raped by the Turks' paratroopers and forced to abandon their homeland. More than 350000 were tortured and murdered with the rest leaving behind their homes, their properties and everything. Klavdia expresses this sorrow through this song as her ancestors were there, tortured, other either killed or expelled. Unfortunately, nowadays the Christian orthodox, Alawites and Druzes of Syria are expelled and forced away from their homeland by the ISIS regime and the Turke’s allies. This song hides deeply the unfathomable mourning of all the refugees, victims of radicalized actions, all wounded souls seeking for democracy, peace and freedom.
