Anyone else realize that we NEVER witness Lauren and Kristen having a one-on-one interaction this entire series? All this "drama" between the two of them and yet neither one has ever approached the other on camera. Kristen almost did at Lauren's house but that's as close as we ever got to the two communicating! Thank you, Whitney and Timmy, for these reaction videos. I know there’s a third season (and I’ll be watching), but this is the end of an era, at least with the OG cast members. It’s been so great being able to rewatch these shows as an adult, and reconnect with some of these characters, that clearly still have a deep connections with their viewers 10+ years after these shows ended, and shows that made an impact on pop culture and reality TV. Very nostalgic and so great! Ready for season 3!

What a trip back to my high school days. I graduated in 2005 and I’m not kidding you when I say (at least my class) watched this show and discussed it. Then The Hills came during my late teens/early 20s and that show taught me a lot along with Flavor of Love LOL!! Well, the first 2 seasons did. Great series you two. Seriously, thank you. It is nice escaping reality for a while.

When Steven walked in with the boot I DIED. Just anticipating their reaction was already so funny. Also the scene where Steven says he got the vibe that he was the asshole, and pulls that incredulous face when Kristen said he did do something harsh, is so frustrating. Like he clearly can’t reflect at all on how he messed with them. But it’s also been interesting to rewatch this and realise how much internalised misogyny I was already dealing with watching this as a teenager. It used to be a story about how good girl Lauren should get the guy but bitchy Kristen had taken him from her. Now it’s a story of two girls who are being pitted against each other but who should be focused on the guy who’s putting them in that dynamic in the first place. I totally gave Steven a pass for his role in leading them both on the first time I watched this, just like the rest of the audience at the time, and clearly just like Steven himself. Also I loved this episode. It made me feel so nostalgic for that time in my life. Very emosh

@@ct6852 yes we had them on MTV over here! I don't know how big it was really, but in my circle of friends we were obsessed! They aired a few weeks or months after the US, it wasn't until The Hills that the Internet blogs (like perez) would start posting about things that happened way before we would see it over here. Me and my friends would always be like "oh I can't wait to actually see that happen," We didn't really have anything like Laguna. I think the closest to the Hills would be The Only Way Is Essex, or Made In Chelsea. We had a lot of Jersey Shore knock offs like Geodie Shore and The Valleys. Spencer and Heidi became big names over here when they did Celebrity Big Brother, which was HUGE. I think they did it twice they were such huge characters/instigators. I think Stephanie Pratt did it too, but she didn't have the same impact, despite her role on MIC. I think anyone else from the Hills/Laguna could walk down the street and not be recognised.

It's about a group of teenagers who are hanging out in Alderley Edge where they live, it was on in 2007 and 2008 and follows their drama of love friendship and school life, exams and sees them move onto college. Ugh that's a big no for me. I was such a train wreck and would be traumatized if people taped me at that age. I got a video camera when I was 14 and I am 38 now. I begged my cousin to get me one for Christmas. I took it everywhere and video taped everything we did. I was big into photo books and getting memories on film to keep forever.
