Midori does the shred fest but it is Miyako who shows how her brain is always racing from acoustic guitar to piano to guitar and then piano back to the guitar. She truly is a musical savant on full display. Asami gets to show off some of her bluesy vocals here as well.

Whoever says Miyako is emotionless on stage must be deaf or crazy... her guitar evokes the whole spectrum of human emotions. It made me shed tears a few times (ESPECIALLY with this song, when I pair it with memories of friends and relatives who passed away). STELLAR song. I hope they can play it again live😭🤘🐺🤘

"Daughters of the Dawn" is the LIVE LP. This power ballad has everything from Miyako's instrument-to-instrument hop (acoustic guitar --> piano --> electric guitar --> piano --> electric guitar) to Midori's Jimi Hendrix moment.

I think they like to tease us with a hint of what might develop and then they take it in a different direction. To date this is their one and only truly slow song, but they did it so well I hope they do another. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

To that "hesitation" thing: Kudos, that you've noticed there! Later in the song, it becomes more obvious, when there's a gab there, almost missing a note in the refrain! It's quite effective and clever! And there's another twist in this song, that is not easy to see. They are returning back to the theme of the first song "Addicted" of that "Clockwork Immortality" album. Just a nice fun fact!

It's even more complicated, sorry! "Daughters Of The Dawn" is the name of the live album/show of 2019. And the tour of this show may also have another name. Sorry about that. "Epilogue" is a song, taken from the second full studio album "Clockwork Immortality". Here is the point, where things get easier: Almost all of their productions/EPs/LPs are alphabetically sorted! Their albums start with A 2017, C 2018, E 2020 and J 2023. Then there are EPs starting with B 2018 and G 2021, a best-of album with I 2021, and live albums D 2019, F 2020, H 2021, K 2023, K2 2023. Rare exceptions are the first EP "The LOVEBITES EP" (2017), which is reissued in "Awakening From Abyss" (2017, without the Japanese "Bravehearted") and "Awake Again" (2020), a live stream for the 3rd anniversary of "Awakening From Abyss". To be honest, there are some more, like the only single "Golden Destination", and some special albums, but I spare you that! I wonder what will be released this year (EP or LP), but that name will most certainly start with "L". Or does it? Enjoy "Epilogue" from their great second album "Clockwork Immortality" (2018)... from the show "Daughters Of The Dawn" (2019) in Tokyo!

I always laugh every time I watch this video. Whoever made it put subtitles, and this is one of their songs subtitles ARE NOT necessary. We can understand Asami just fine. I agree with you about Haruna saying to herself, "Finally a break!" Haha!! Great reaction. Cheers.

Lots of reactors get confused over the names of songs and the concerts. It's understandable. By way of explanation, Lovebites have a sort of system that names their releases in alphabetical order (apart from The Lovebites EP, which was their first disc). So Awakening From Abyss (2017), Battle Against Damnation (EP 2018), Clockwork Immortality (2018), Daughters of the Dawn (live 2019), Electric Pentagram (2020), Five of a Kind (live 2020), Glory, Glory to the World (EP 2021), Heavy Metal Never Dies (live 2021), In The Beginning (compilation 2021), Judgement Day, (2023), Knockin' at Heavens Gate (live 2023). It's fun trying to guess what the next release might be called.

8:40 The technique you are talking about is called _syncopation_ (syncope, suspension). Miyako and Midori use this technique several times during this song (e.g. 9:43 9:58). 🙂

You're the first reactor I've watched that noticed the guitar on Midori's back while she was playing the acoustic guitar. Most people notice that Miyako has her electric guitar on her back, but everyone else seems to miss that Midori is doing the same thing. I also love when Miyako switches between guitar and piano, AND when Midori switches between electric and acoustic. I always smile when they do that! 😆😆😆 I'm just in awe at how quickly they can switch back & forth!

Miyako writes a lot of her songs on piano then transcribes them to the guitar (she actually released an album of heavy metal songs she interprets on the piano). When you get to the song "Rising" (I recommend the Live At Zepp video), you may also want to compare to an acoustic version were its just Miyako on piano and Asami singing. It gives the song a whole different feel. Speaking of future reactions, "Shadowmaker" is also another great guitar track (I recommend the video from the Heavy Metal Never Dies concert) and then "Raise Some Hell" will definitely satisfy your love of pinch harmonics. 😊

My only comment is I wish your audio would retain the true stereo mix from the original - your mix is in mono which loses so much of the amazing playing here. Thanks for reacting to Lovebites though. 🤘🎸🐺
