Early days Solar used to be more strict with the members cause they thought they had to be perfect at all times and since she was the leader she kinda had to keep them in line as you said, but as years went by they all became more chill and as you saw she started taking it lightly and even laughing at the members mistakes. She's a great leader.

Solar has got, and possibly still does, hate about her cheeks that are full and squishy and as such she doesn't respect the Korean beauty standards that would want to see a clear v shaped face. "Yes I Am" is a great song because in that one each member embrace the body shame they received and make it a strength by pointing them out themselves.

"I have chubby..." part sounds weird because it didn't accurately translate. What solar said was : "Is 볼이 뚠뚠해" which should translate to "Is (or It's) cheeks are chubby." The mistake was that Solar added "is" which wasn't in the original lyric. And half the scenes were from a singing challenge where they had to get a specific score from the machine. So, they were singing intentionally "not perfect." Solar always laughs when someone makes mistakes including herself. I think being a leader she always pay attention to the whole song while other members care more about their own parts. 7:19 pay attention to Solar's expression. Lol

Since they were from a small company and had to prove themselves, Solar was very strict with the members and had to do her part as the leader. Solar actually talked about that somewhere. She said she's sorry for being so strict at that time and that she was really like scared or overwhelmed being a leader when she was the youngest all her life in her home. She said she didn't wanna mess up and rarely complimented the group, especially hwasa. It wasn't bcs she hated hwasa (just really holding the pressure of the group and hwasa was being stubborn most of the time, in my opinion. Not negative for me) one time hwasa even asked her if she hates her and solar cried bcs she didn't meant for hwasa to feel like that.

If you do then I want to recommend my 3 favourites women solo artist which is IU, Lee Hi and HYNN, their vocals are no joke, especially their live vocal are very amazing!! And each of them has distinct voices too. Here's are some songs from them that you could check out: IU= Good Day, Eight (totally recommend the live acoustic one, and also this actually a very sad&deep song because recently some of her close artist friends has died of suicide😔), Ending Scene, Through the night.
