There's actually more going on in the Egotistic MV than meets the eye on first view, which is common with Mamamoo MVs. Egotistic was title track #2 from Mamamoo's four album series 4 Season 4 Color, the most complex and ambitious project ever done by a girl group. I think some of the questions one might ask about the Egotistic MV can only be answered in the context of the concepts and symbolism used throughout the 4S4C project, such as why Hwasa has a stare down with a jaguar and what the hell Solar is doing on the pole. Mamamoo got started a few years older than typical for kpop and yeah Solar does not look 33. And she has a few concert video with that pole and some videos on Solarsido. The story there is she has a ruptured disk and when it happened before that video, she used pole dance to restrengthen her back. But she liked doing it, and put it in concerts probably because it would be controversial and mamamoo has always been a group that pushes against what society considers acceptable. And you are right they are at the top with the best of the best, even in korea they are considered the best vocalists, BTOB is probably their equal for a male group. Solar has a part switch video on solarsido with one of BTOBs members, she sings BTOB songs and he sings mamamoo songs.
