Strongly agree with Ana’s point around 26:50. I think it’s okay if people want to give a playbook for eg traditional masculinity, but imposing it on others as the only legitimate way to live is weird and unhelpful

Everyone is trying to play these weird ass mind games rather than being their best self. I’d much rather have someone fall in love with the real me than lust after a fake persona of me that tries to win the game of patriarchy.

I think you're on to something. Step 1: Marry a literal doctor who's an outlier in the top 1% of physical beauty standards, who's also an outlier in the top 1% of PhD grads who have financially escaped academia, and who's also an outlier in the top 1% of KZbinrs who have a large following and thus a viable entrepreneurial income stream. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit As a gentlemanly scholar who's currently in a relationship with a mustard-stained waifu body pillow named Kyedae, I can't believe this formula for success was right in front of me the entire time!

Thank you for beating some sense into my head. I have been doing badly with girls I liked in the past so I was slowly starting to believe those gurus online, thought that surely they know something that I don't if it works for them and not for me. I'm quite lost right now, but it's a long story that I doubt anyone wants to read lol.

lol those masculinity coaches are grifters that pretend you will receive a gf on your front step if you do abcd and buy their course. Often money and gym because they can build courses around it. You are much better suited investing your time in two things: 1. Appereance: appereance makes up around 70-80% of your attractiveness, you will receive the best ROI on your time investing it in this. Just go for the basics (weight loss/gain, combat hair loss or shave it all off, grow a beard if no jaw, fix crooked/yellow teeth) 2. Basic conversational skills. Many men fall into this trap of being attractive enough to get a gf, but not knowing how to communicate with women like they are a normal person and not something to be achieved. You don't have to say certain things or witty lines. You don't need to learn how to flirt. If you're in a good conversation with someone and you're both attracted to each other, the connection and chemistry will be there.

Well. I'm in the process of taking accountability. I was in spaces like those but more hardcore. I think the biggest problem men nowadays have is a lack of the ability to control emotions. I mean, to handle them healthily. If not going the rabbit hole on the internet, I would go on and on about how women are this and that. The reality is, that I need to work on problems within myself and be more self-compassionate. Cause I wasn't able to accept myself as a whole - I thought being sensitive is weak and that's why women don't like me.

Most of these tweets aren't very insightful as they are too surface level. I'd find it more helpful if there were some examples/storytelling and more of a how-to. I dont use Twitter though so maybe that's not the platform for that. You two are so sweet and funny. I had no idea that rizz came from charisma! Also, I keep thinking he looks like Robert Pattinson. Somewhat off-topic, but I would love to hear both of your opinions on the Jonah Hill/Sarah Brady controversy.
