It always surprises me whenever I look up the age of volleyball players. A lot of volleyball players are in the sport until they're at least thirty, and don't usually start playing professionally until after college. As a gymnast, and a fan of gymnastics, it's kind of odd, just because most professional gymnasts are under 20, and staying in that career for longer is out of the ordinary. Obviously there are some outliers, like Oksana Chusovitina, who's competed in 8 Olympics, and including the 2020 Games where she was in her forties, but she's literally a legend. People competing in their twenties are seen as old, so it's weird seeing how teenagers and people in their early twenties are considered young in the volleyball world. Also the height difference. Like, even for women most of them are at least 5 foot six in volleyball, while in gymnastics being over 5 foot 2 is tall. Sorry for the word dump lol. Great video as always! Micah is a great setter!

I’m a big BYU fan, and, when I received all three Adidas USMNT replica jerseys (red, white, blue) for my birthday last year, it was a no-brainer for me to put Taylor Sander’s and Ben Patch’s names and numbers on two of them. I thought momentarily about Jake Langlois for the third one, but ultimately Micah Christenson was the obvious choice. Great player and phenomenal setter.

Do you know where I can order these? I didn't see them on the Adidas website but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong spot. Thanks!
@khkartc4 жыл бұрын
Try Amazon. You’ll either have to use a commercial print shop or, if you know someone with a Cricut machine (and a Cricut “Design Space” account), you can do your own vinyl iron-ons. Neither USA Volleyball nor Adidas can tell you which fonts to use, but you can approximate using fonts off “dafont” or similar sites.

Erik, I bumped into your youtube account just recently, so I am fairly new to your channel and to volleyball world in general :) A question a bit different from majority of the comments here - is it hard for you to play in Russian team atm? I took a look on couple of the Fakel games recently (thanks for the links btw) - are your team members good in English communication? 🤔 I do not know how much good spoken english is spread in Russian sports environment so I really wonder if you have any difficulties there (communication, different mentality, etc.) 🤔Sorry if you answered it somewhere earlier in the videos, I'm just new to your channel :)

That’s great! Keep working! So basically most of us played club and high school and then college. During college or after we were invited to play with the national team or tryout. We also play overseas professionally which helps us improve and make money. So long story short, play club and high school if you can and work to play in college as well! You got this!

@@ErikShojivolleyball thanks so much one more thing. When you playing professionally overseas is there like a specific professional league? I know in Japan there is V League.
