The 2010 "worst to first" team was what made me fall in love with the game of volleyball! I will never forget this championship match. Brad Lawson was absolutely untouchable. Hoping very much that Stanford reverses the horrible decision to cut 11 programs.

I’ve tried YouTubing this game for 11 years now ! My flight got delayed and I ended up missing the match live ... So incredible to watch on ESPN, regardless ... Your hair could have been a mullet with a fresh perm as long as you kept passing dimes! Hail Stanford ✌🏽

Erik, congrats! it's so crazy my brother played against Edgardo Goas (setter PSU ) and Denis del Valle (Libero PSU) and his team beat them consistently in the Puerto Rican HS league, unfortunately he was an undersized 6'2 Middle Blocker that couldn't play past HS, sad story in volleyball ='(, he tried to set later but it was too late to make the switch. Every time we get PR players in the NCAA we celebrate them like if we were watching the national team

Like Mireya Luis, their is a legendary volleyball player "Jimmy George" (represented India from 1972 to 1980's) who has incredible vertical jump and power... Even he can hang in air for extra second during his jump. So I think you should know about him and react to his videos on youtube.

In Europe, when it comes to the match score, the host is always shown on the left side (or at the top) and the guest team is on the right side (or at the bottom). Is it the other way round in the US?

Im not good at english but let me answer. Libero cant be a captain. If youre assuming that because of the shirt color, the libero wears a different color jersey than the rest of the team because they can enter and leave the lineup freely, without counting against the team’s 15 allotted substitutions per set.

@@berthezy1550 ah thank you. I thought shoji was wearing the no. 1 Jersey for some reason, which is why I thought he was captain. I have heard in skme places that libero's can be captain so wasn't sure if it was possible here, which is why I asked. Tyvm!!
