I'm so glad you went back to Selfish Love. It is definitely one of those songs that shows off his talent.

Oh, i should also mention, the tambourine is attached to his one foot, and he's playing bass drum with the other. That box in front of him is called a "gigpig". it has a bass drum and a symbol on it. He used to do a lot of that one-man-show type stuff back in the day.

I love Miyavi so much, one of my favorites 😍 Even his newer material, he's very talented. He was in a band with Gackt, Yoshiki (X Japan) and Sugizo (X Japan and Luna Sea) but X Japan's reunion got in the way. I'm still waiting they reunite some day, even if it's for 1 concert.

MacRyanMac No, they only played live once in LA in 2007, a shame because the songs were really good. But then X Japan reunited and you know, priorities LOL Beneath The Skin is the only song that survived so far, love it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZylYXWEbstsmck

You can tell from his old old songs to his newer ones that his slap style has been carefully developed and got better over yeaarsss and he finds new creative ways to make his sound unique! You can always tell it’s him on guitar. And yeah there is this interview he did in London where he admitted it hurts and sometimes he bleeds lol. Hardcore, huh?

i've seen him live about 4 times now, twice during the slightly older style, and twice more recently (he still does occasionally play throwbacks) and HE IS SO IMPRESSIVE. the energy he has on stage, the ENTHUSIASM - this guy is a fucking experience and i am so glad i could see him so often until now. also, as a fun fact: Miyavi and Gackt used to be besties and play pranks on each other when they were on radio shows and what not

Old Miyavi is my shit. Unfortunetely i don't enjoy his newer stuff as much, but he released so much amazing music in past that i am not even sad, because i can just go and listen to it once in a while and have a blast. I really loved his older songs too, but after he got international famouse due to a movie from Angelina Joley, he changed so so much... There is only one newer song I like but I hate the fact that this song has no full MV or any full audio in KZbin. I forgot the name of the song, but it was the one with a drawn MV from 2015 I guess^^

I'm listening his music for 11 years already and I never get enough. It's not like you're listening some music for 1 or 2 years and it ends because you're getting older or sth, you throw it away, he's the only one artist that I'm listening for sooo long :o And I tried to play guitar in his way! It is possible but takes a lot of time and practice to get this unhuman level :D And I'm also impressed by this japanese perfectional attitude that if you choose something to do (like playing guitar and being awsome :D) than you do it for your all life to become perfect in this one thing, that's impressing.

Miyavi is one of the funnest lives I've been to! I've been watching him since 2003! (I'm old...) I wish you could check out his earlier stuff, but good luck finding it & good luck not getting a strike for it. You would love his Gigpig days! And for fun facts! Miyavi was actually aimijng to be a pro soccer player as a boy, but sustained an injury that prevented him from playing. So he poured his energy into guitar! Other fun fact is that he has talked about the importance of getting manicures to keep his nails strong. He highly suggests doing it for guitar players that use their nails instead of a pick.
@jrocknpoppingirl6 жыл бұрын
You were still reacting to his more newer stuff here though...I wish you would check out his old stuff like Freedom Fighter, Ku Ku Ru, Ashita Tenki ni Naare, Girls be Ambitious, Kekkonshiki no Uta, Itoshii Hito, Pop'n'Roll Baseball, Boom-hah-boom-hah-hah, SMFB, Senor Senora Senorita, Gigpig Boogie, Dear My Friend Tegami wo Kaku yo, What a Wonderful World Subarashiki Kono Sekai. These are the stuff that got me interested in Miyavi and then I was a fan through the releases of all of the songs starting with the album What's My Name. That was my real start as a co-miyavi (what the fans are called and we are such a tight and loving family).

I saw him in the movie Unbroken and he was so hot I just had to look up who he was😂 And I learned that he was a singer so of course I had to listen to his songs. And I fell in LOVE with his music. I love the way he plays guitar❤ My favorite album is Gagaku cuz I love EVERY single song in there. There's an entire playlist of his music on KZbin. You should definitely check it out. Some of his old music like "Girls, be ambitious," "Jibun Kakumei," and "POP is dead" (which are all AMAZING) have music video so maybe you can make a part 3 reaction😂
