Why we sponsor Kara? First of all because she loves what she is doing, second because she is a true inspiration for women that want to start mountain biking and/or progress. She is genuine, she shares every little progress and this makes mountain biking reachable to anybody. She is sharing the joy but also the fear. Who couldn’t relate to this? Kara, you are a brilliant and lovely personality and we are damn proud that you are ripping in our gear! ❤ ❤ ❤

To the people that don't get why Kara is sponsored and they are not... Writing insulting comments like that is exactly why nobody would want to sponsor you. Why would a brand want to associate themselves with someone who has a negative attitude towards fellow mountain bikers? A brand wants to sell bikes, and someone like Kara is inspiring people to get into the sport. They see her riding around on her Haibike and aspire to be able to do the same things, and a Haibike will probably be the first brand that comes to mind when they go bike shopping. This is how sponsorship works... you have to bring value and business to the brand sponsoring you. Sam Pilgrim is another great example... he is one of the most positive attitude riders in the MTB industry... that's why sponsors like him. If he went around posting negative comments on people's videos I'm quite sure Canyon would be dragging him in for a stern talking to about damaging their brand reputation and if it happened again he would get dropped. If you want sponsorship learn to be nice first before working on your riding skills. Thank you Kara for your videos. I have been watching your vids on and off since you first started making them with Tom. When it comes to jumps you are definitely more confident in them than me now so great progression 😀 You are inspiring me to catch up 😄

@@KaraBealit’s a good point, if you can get free bikes and free gear , ( personally I wouldn’t use Muc -off on my bike but that’s just my opinion) then that’s amazing 🤩 well done, all the stuff you get free is so expensive so take all you can get! The sponsors are in a win win and you get the benefit from that 🙌🏼👍🏾

Absolutely, brands do look at potentially sponsors social media, if they find anything negative they will not sponsor that person. I’ve known this to be the case with brands I know.

Do you know what Kara, I remember watching your video where you're doing the Stroganoff line at Woburn a while back. I went there myself with the attitude of "well, if Kara can do it..." But when I got to actually doing the line I think I just about managed the first gap and ended up bottling the rest. That made me realise just how far you've come and just how good you genuinely are at this sport! Keep up the awesome work you're doing!

I love your videos Kara! I’m a high level Mtn Biker and was just about Pro level BMX when I was younger. I have been in the advertising creative branding and marketing industry for over 30 years. So my pro opinion is: With every step higher, a brand (meaning you) will increase the haters. So this just means your gaining grounds to reach a larger audience. So as I tell my clients. This is a good thing. Focus on the positive not the Neg’s. Your amazing and the content is great! I also love watching Van Girl yuka. As she has a great channel of building confidence and dealing with fear etc.

I have watched your progress for a few years now and am always inspired by your progress and honesty. So few content makers have the confidence to show when they are scared or intimidated by a line. This is what makes your content so unique. Watching you tackle a line even when you are nervous shows such massive commitment, and how good you have become is a testament to just how committed you are. Keep on shredding.

My personal belief on sponsorships like this is not about skill levels at all but what you as an individual and your name bring to the company. You obviously bring a lot of viewers for your sponsors and do it very well. that's the all professional athletes do. Advertise for their sponsor and reap the benefits they bring. So well done KJ and keeping Droppin. I enjoy the content 😊

100% spot on, brands don’t just sponsor people to get a good photo or short video every few months, they are after a good return for their money, and someone who inspires people and puts their product in a good light will alway be at the top of their list.

Wow! I just found your channel recently. I have been recently getting back into mtb'ing after a brutal crash - and several knee surgeries later - had me thinking that I would never be able to ride again. I have overcome those obstacles and I'm stoked to say that I'm back at it once again. I love watching you and Tom tackle gnarly trails, jumps, and whatnot and it motivates me to keep going. I have definitely lost some of my confidence after my accident but it helps to know that I am not the only one that gets intimidated by mtb obstacles but watching you overcome those obstacles inspires me and many others for sure. However, it kills me how cruel and unforgiving people can be on KZbin and other social media platforms and there's never a good reason for it. I suppose it makes them feel better about their failures to point out others? Either way, this is easier said than done but, try your best to ignore the hateful comments and focus on all the good you're doing for others and more importantly, for yourself. Keep your head up, Kara!

Kara keep up the good work. You genuinely make great content even though there are no backflips (yet). Not everyone can ride like Fabio Wibmer. One thing I would love to see is a "one trick learning series" where you each episode try to learn a new skill and show the progress. Bunnyhop, turnbar, nosebonk, whip, one hander, wheelie, manual, etc. Maybe some skills are harder than others but you could pick out those that are reasonably easy to learn. That would be great to watch. Anyway, thanks for what you are doing and try to ignore them haters.😊

Good on you for you showing how it really is. Life isn't always nice and there will always be the jealous keyboard warriors who's only skill is trying to put people down. You are sponsored, they are not - guess who's smiling! I can pretty much gaurantee nearly all of them don't have the subscribers or views that you have, so who's getting it right and who's getting it wrong.? I could talk about this subject forever! It infuriates me soooo bad 😢 It’s so frustrating when people decide to give unsolicited advice to someone they don’t even need and usually after watching one video! I love watching your content and you are such an inspiration to all those young female shredders looking up to you! I am a firm believer in sharing my progression on my Instagram and I think people fail to realise that everyone starts from somewhere. What happened to being kind and supportive, these are the many reasons why women feel so unwelcome in the sport because of nasty and hateful comments. I would love to speak about my views on this as I had a similar experience recently and it’s so upsetting when people have nothing but negative things to say about your riding technique! Keep absolutely smashing it Kara and showing the world your progress and dedication to the sport 🩷🩷🩷

Having worked for large water sport companies i know for fact they don’t just go sponsor the best people in the sport because sometimes those people are complete A-holes, they would rather sponsor people like Kara because she is the type of person they want to represent their brand, someone that will appreciate the brand who is approachable and inspire other people to take up or stay in the sport so they can sell more products. Kara also has a big social media presence which is now a big marketable plus for sponsors. If you just complain and cry that no one will sponsor you it may be you have nothing to offer them.

Keep at it! Loved watching the gap jumps at twisted oaks, hopefully one day I’ll give them a go! I felt most of them were 13/14 year old boys, which is worrying that they find what they are doing acceptable. The clap back they tried to give me for my comments shutting them down, shocking. I prefer seeing progress as I find it more inspiring. It annoys me as a female if we aren’t perfect we get hate but if it’s a male it’s just oh well next time. Sometimes for women our bodies don’t work the same as guys because of hormones wreaking our confidence etc or making our movements less fluid, I had this the other week so it might not be perfect to some little chad. Sorry I could go on as my friend had the same issue last week too. We are in this together so let’s all support each others regardless of progression 💕💕

(it's the opposite w/ 'haters', they're loud af but still a minority:) ) i think it's a great idea to have other people share how they manage the 'haters'. it may help other content creators and even just regular internet users when browsing the comments' sections. i wrote a longer reply earlier, i have some experience and plenty of stories but i'm not sure that's applicable for the 'regular users'. seeing 'the haters' from the other side of the internet (building/maintaing websites/forums/etc) one realizes pretty quicky the haters are simply pathetic.. you see the same IP operating different accounts, jumping from post to post, coming back, interacting w/ themselves, all that stuff :)) once it sinks in how useless these users are, they lose any leverage, it's just pathetic as i've said..

F the haters! It’s very impressive how much you’ve improved and I can’t comprehend how anyone can say you’re not a good rider when you can hit gap jumps.

Kara, this is a great video. What you do is great - you're inspiring for women and men! Keep it up, and don't let negative and immature comments get you down. Mountain biking is inclusive - Young; old; fast; slow; novice and experts - it doesn't matter. As for the comments about sponsorship, the comments speak for themselves. If anyone wants to really understand the value of sponsorship, and how you get it - there's a video in that! Hope to catch up soon 👍

You are very brave to sit there and talk about this. Unfortunately you will always get the saddos that have nothing else to do than make horrible comments. It’s easy for me to say but you have to try and ignore them but obviously it still gets to you. People don’t realise that KZbinrs are just normal people just like everyone else. People who have met you and know you will know that you and Tom are lovely people. (Still loving the bike 😉)

I think people forget why brands sponsor people. It’s not because you’re necessarily the best at something, it’s because you represent people and a brand in a light which they want to be associated with. What you do really well Kara, is come across as someone who is loving what they do, working hard to progress and celebrating success. If some of the people in those comments took the time to understand a market, invest the time they spend trolling into working on becoming the sort of person that a brand might endorse, maybe they’d be as successful as you. Keep having fun and bringing a unique outlook on the sport. That’s why you’re sponsored. That’s why people watch your content. It’s relatable and enjoyable. Not only that, you film and edit the content in such a way that it looks and feels professional - another reason you’re sponsored - representing the brands who endorse you. You also just seem like a good person and that goes a long way. Those with the time on their hands to dish out hate should be spending their time working on their personalities so that maybe they’ll be likeable enough to get sponsored too. Not hate, just facts. ❤

You just do what you do and never pretend to be something you’re not. You’re simply documenting your progress and hopefully encouraging others to have a go.some are born with natural talent, but most of us have to work at it. The haters will never pick up sponsorships, they’ll never understand what the sponsors are truly looking for…..a positive attitude and a likeable personality! Keep up the content,it’s good to see the failures and successes.it shows the norm, not just the superstar side of mtb🤙

I enjoy your YT videos. I don't bother with other social media - sounds like there's even more jerks on them than YT. Personally I'd just ignore all of the bullies - they have such low self worth that they hate being ignored.

I saw Kara get on the big ex-military bus at the 2023 Vanta Jam. The good vibes and respect she got from the other pro riders already on that bus was obvious.

Broadening your channel content is a good idea. Much better than "your a nuffy" video which was so negative. What all these people don't seem to get is getting sponsored is about quitting your job and getting out making interesting content that sponsors can hang their products on. IT's not easy! So good for you and I hope you get more success. Like I said when we met your presentation style is good. Keep pushing forward.
