You're too hard on yourself. Most people who grow overtime are always hard on their old work because they can use hindsight to see flaws that they wouldn't make today but usually the flaws are technical. You seem to want to have an ideological conflict with your past content and maybe it's because of how you started down the path of 'prank' videos. Once one took off you follow down that road of those type of videos and more and more take off. And you get to the point where you get tired of making them. You start doing the interview videos.Then later on that subset of video in the YT community grows a bad stigma, not from anything you did directly but looking back you can see things pass the threshold on prank videos going too far (I don't think you did anything over the line except maybe running off with a phone or too but it didnt offend me). You start doing the interviews because it is something more towards what you want to do. I can tell you are interested in human behavior and culture both in the interview videos and even in the 'prank' videos. But again I think you are too hard on yourself there were a lot of prank channels, I'm sure you are familiar with most of them I remember you did collabs and even from those channels on FB all crossposting videos. Each one for the most part did it a different way and held a different space in the category. From those that did outrageous things with little self awareness other than knowing what would or would't get views (Vitaly, Fousey) to those that had more self awareness but didn't care (NELK). Some have adapted and still do prank videos but try to make them as harmless as possible while being as entertaining as possible by embracing some of the silliness and ridiculousness of the jokes (Ross). Some did magic tricks, some tried to pickup girls, etc. I think your videos you always had a good self awareness of your own behavior as well as the people you interacted with to make the best of those videos. A lot of the videos were awkward situations but not because you weren't self aware. Usually the premise of the video was do induce a specific type of awkwardness and you worked and you executed it well without breaking the bit too soon or keeping it going way to long to the point that it ruined the created situation. And unlike other 'popular' prank channels in that timeframe your views didn't come so much from overly outrageous content but just from relatable recreations of real life awkward situations that people have all been in or caused but couldn't laugh at at the time.

I remember a specific moment from your vids I really related with. It was a Q&A video so you weren’t really in a character and you seemed fed up with everything. You had said something like “I’m just whacky awkward Andrew” and rolled your eyes. Dude I remember first seeing you in your collab video with vitaly "put your number on my phone" and I was like wow this guy is way funnier, then I spent the rest of the day watching your videos and laughing my ass off. But yeah, as you said, it's not just about humour, the whole social experiment thing about it is just beautiful and artistic. The looks on people's faces, the confusion..etc is just priceless.
