You don't have to find an answer today or even in 6 months. You're iconic. Anyone on KZbin for the past 10 years knows your face. Even if you come back in 5 years with a new content series relevant for the next generation or us, you will click in people's minds just as you did all these years ago. It's just a gift you have that you can't really lose. I really hope Andrew sees your comment. It reflects the value of having an open personality and being available to the world. Real value. I am living with my aging mom, facing the primal grief that you have gone through. I have read through the Bible's Book of Proverbs many times and, (being humorous here, but in line with Proverbs), as a naturally funny person, generationally gifted, Proverbs practically deems me to be a cardiologist and an orthopedic doctor and that applies to talented Andrew too. 👍 About Proverbs, there are 31 chapters with, I'd guess, about 17 - 28 or so sentences on average and the practice of reading one a day/night according to date yields great benefit. Wisdom happens. One begins to think proverbially and in one's own vernacular wisdom gets spoken. Spotty adherence is expected at first, of course. When the first through the fifth chapter is read and then nothing, on the 17th of the month it may occur to the reader and that's the one to pick up the reading on. No big deal. For months some verses will be read without much meaning and then because of the circumstances going on in the reader's life the verses will be direct wisdom, yes, from God, for guidance, to advance a relationship with God and to avoid troubles. I do this sporadically, not in a disciplined way, so I'm not being all worthy of admiration here. But I've been born-again over 4 decades now, almost all of my adult life, (with many mistakes made and willful disobedience along the way), and the Bible really is true and I recommend the breezy, easy reading of Proverbs to anyone, to everyone. Also, the gospel of John to start the New Testament/Covenant. Can't help but mention that. The third chapter of John opens with vital information. Mc Lovin, along with having an open personality and being funny, please overlook my, um, endearing 🤭 lack of brevity. While brevity is among my favorite words - go ahead, say it out loud - my open personality, enhanced by knowing Jesus, becoming "born of the spirit" and now with the "older and wiser" thing in play, the length of my reply might be annoying. But on the other hand, I have been thanked enough times to assure you that my data dumps have value too. 😃

As a guy who has been "lost" my whole life and for a much longer time than you have been, I can totally relate. It's hard not to drift along and just see the years pass unless you're just driven (or pushed) in a focused direction. For most people it's just working in 9-5 drudgery, hating their lives, and living to get plastered for the weekend. Pretty hard to accept when you have talent and in your case 2 million subs. Your kind of success is almost that of a child actor's, when it eventually dries up you can torment yourself just comparing your adult life to what you once had.

I just want to point out that success ≠ quality. The guy who made the video seems to imply that the quality dropped when Andrew did the vlogs, for example, because he lost views. What I appreciated the most was exactly the vlogs. Since day 1 the main topic of this channel is realness, genuineness, authenticity. And I love it.

Yes we all grow up and get old but thats not the reason why he called it a downward spiral. The downward spiral is him letting the channel go down the drain while simultaneously doing insanely dumb things to go broke. He even said he was averaging 225k a year from 2018-2019 and then went on a party phase traveling the world while maintaining a $3600 a month apartment while not even living there. Basically he was like the guy doing a touch down celebration before crossing the end zone.

This guy seems to assume that we as the audience are entitled to only the highest quality content and if doesn’t meet that criteria it’s not worth it. I think because of this he assumes that “lesser-quality” content is a product of not working hard-enough or laziness. This is an old-fashioned perspective that doesn’t even acknowledge the personal struggles and mental health issues that Andrew has so openly shared with us. The way Andrew has opened up and shown his life is an absolutely perfect case study on how those that struggle with mental disorders are still looked down upon by society, especially men. Personally I like the real Andrew best, not the characters he played in all those prank videos. If you ever read this your last few years haven’t been a “downfall” they’ve just been different. What’s important is that’s it’s been you and you are why we care.

Andrew, I’ve always appreciated you for you, not necessarily for the fact that your videos made me laugh, or I learned something, but because I think there is value knowing that there is someone out there who struggles with these “now what” situations/ places in life. I’ve always been told to aim high or aim for something even if you don’t know exactly what you want, but I’ve done this and I’m still lost. I talk to my friends who are content with their jobs, but I think there is something in myself that seems to always want something more or different. I’ve found that hobbies help me with this sortve thing, but they tend to be more distractions at the end of the day. I’ve also tried picking up new projects but nothing really fill the hole that I’ve got. I think there is something to say about your door dash stuff as it seems to bring you some level of joy and filL some sort of hole finically or mentally. I would just say this to you(and honestly I should take my own advice): don’t sell yourself short. That doesn’t mean work harder than your willing to, or make a big decision out of no where (and this isn’t meant to shit on your door dash job cause it seems to be nice :) ). Look for the value within you and use that value no matter how little or great it is to motivate you to find joy in life, because people like you truly do deserve it. I typically don’t comment on your videos even though I’ve been watching for years, but if you do see this, i hope you know I and others support you and thank you :)
