I think it's always interesting to look back like this tbh. Because yeah, it's reasonable sometimes at the time to be doubtful of a manager. But always gives hope that even if some managers are doing absolutely shitty rn. They might finally find their ceiling in a few years and improve like you'd hoped back at the time. Sometimes they really do just need time, and it's always so hard to tell.
