Yep your right deadeye. They also toured with them this year too. That is why they did this cover. Same as when they did Crazy Doctor. Back in the early summer after Saki left they started a new tour in Japan. They released a couple other covers too of the bands opening for them and Loudness again was one of them. They also played Crazy Nights with them on stage just like they did back a couple of years ago like you mentioned with Crazy Doctor. Dead-EyeMetal. You might know the answer to my question, but maybe it is inappropriate to ask. I’m going to fall on my sword and ask it anyway. The early dates for Nemophila’s US tour in 2023 were initially more limited. After their performance in Mexico City had to be canceled for scheduling issues, they added a number of US cities. I understand Nemophila has the support of many famous Japanese bands from the 80’s-90’s that still perform. One of the additional cities was Dallas. Loudness was actually scheduled to perform at the same venue Nemophila did, on the correct, or approximately correct dates before Nemophila was announced. Loudness rescheduled their Dallas show to the following month at the same venue for some reason. I wonder, if Loudness with their fame reworked their schedule to support Nemophila by giving their dates to the women. Perhaps the simply couldn’t make the date and offered Nemophila as a replacement. I just wonder if the support from the elder bands goes that deep. Any knowledge?

@@michelm.6033 Nope, afraid I don't know the reason they rescheduled. I think it is possible that there may have been some coordination, but I don't know. I do know for certain that Show-Ya and Nemophila are very good friends. Keiko and Mayu get on really well and Sun-Go and Saki are close. They go drinking together and Saki has a few funny stories about Sun-Go that she tells in a video she, Yashiro and Yui from Cyntia made about Show-Ya. But then all the NaonのYaon regulars seem to meet up ad go out to get wasted judging by the tales they all tell. The support generally does seem to run deep. Loudness and Nemophila seem to get on well and, as we know, Saki has been a Killer Guitars artist for years, so no doubt she and Akira Takasaki know each other pretty well. The camaraderie makes career sense too, for everyone concerned. When these bands work together, the young bands get the benefit of networking with established musicians who can share contacts, info, experience etc, and the older bands get a relevance-boost with the younger audience by touring and collaborating with the newer bands. I think it's great. The Japanese bands don't really seem to compete, so far as I can see.

Firstly, yes, I too harbour thoughts of going to Japan! Secondly I LOVE how much fun Hazuki seems to be having on this MV 😃. And also your mention of their paying homage to other bands. They've done many MV covers of bands such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Journey, Helloween, Metallica (audio only), Pantera, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters (a particular favourite of Mayu's) and the list goes on. In every case they've done it with absolute respect for the original songs and artists. Their own personal favourite bands range from thrash metal bands like Arch Enemy and Children Of Bodom (two bands I'm a big fan of) to progressive metal bands such as Opeth (also one of mine) and Dream Theater, and the aforementioned Foo Fighters, so it's no surprise there is so much variety in what they do. Bottom line is: There's nothing they can't do if they decide they want to. Fabulous band! 🤘❤

They killed the Loudness cover. Mayu is the little beast on vocals. They are an incredile band. I've seen them live twice in SoCal and they were awesome live. They are the queens of covers as well. Their original content is fire. Check out "Zen", Dissension", "Rise", "G.O.D." "Seize the Fate" for some heavier tracks. They are very versatile. Like a maprity of these Japanese bands (Especially the all-female bands) they play incredibly tight live. Much like Lovebites they really don't have any weak tracks. You still need to see Hanabie if you want some chaos.

Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park"). The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by... Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band); Haraguchi-san - (ex- HöLDERLINS band) bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College; Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill"; Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, "Destrose", and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and... Hazuki (KOIAI "Dark Indigo" / Li-sa-X, Disqualia bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience. Unfortunately, Saki left the band in march 2024, after the Budokan concert, thinking that her contribution was enough after more than 4-5 years, pursuing her - successful - solo carrier, and then she became a member of Like-an-Angel band. The band continues in the 4 members form, with Mayu starting to add guitar bits while Haraguchi-san's bass, and Hazuki's guitar becomes more prominent. A really good reaction. SAKI, their other guitarist quit earlier this year, shortly after their great gig at Nippon Budokan... apparently due to creative differences. For me..Most promising metalband out there..They have it all..Passion Work Heart Talent 🔥❤️ Mayu’s voice is something else and Tamu( dr) is allready my alltime favourite drummer. They were in New situation earlier this year when other guitarist Saki left but after little break they came back stronger and heavier than ever as 4 piece band. Just Lovin Nemophila 🔥❤️ Magical band 🔥❤️

NEMOPHILA is the name of a flower. I think it comes from the Greek, but they pronounce it the Japanese way: “neh-mo-fee-la” (there’s only one /i/. They are fundamentally a Metalcore band, but they take their music in many directions. They all played in other bands before coming together. SAKI played with MARY’S BLOOD (try MARIONETTE). HAZUKI currently plays with LiSa-X in the band KOIAI (try A NEW PICTURE). TAMU MURATA is recognized as a leading Rock drummer who has been playing professionally since she was a teenager. In addition to three albums’ worth of original material, they have made dozens of cover song videos (starting during the pandemic). I encourage you to check out the covers of the Japanese bands that inspired them (mostly not Metal). It’s a great way to expand your knowledge of Japan’s music scene. I recommend DONT SAY LAZY, ONE NIGHT CARNIVAL, ROSIER, and GOLDEN GRAFFTY. Metal covers include WATASHI WA ARASHI (I Am The Storm), from the original female Metal band SHOW-YA (since 1981), and KURENAI (a classic all Japanese know) from X-JAPAN. These songs are merely warm up ex😮for NEMOHILA.

Yes Nemophila is heavy, this song isn't the heaviest they go, but interestingly they can also go soft, softer then Band Maid, check out "Life" or "Odyssey" or Beautiful Days." Mayu is a very versatile singer. Speaking of Loudness and elite players, Hal-ca, the guitarist of Asterism, decided to be a guitarist after attending a Loudness concert. Every member of Asterism is an elite player and they are young (Hal-ca is 22, calculate her age in the video you watch). "Dawn" is a good place to start. Another young elite player is Li-sa-X (19) and she has a connection to Nemophila, Hazuki the guitarist of Nemophila is in a band, KOIAI (something like Koi-Eye), with Li-sa-X. I don't know what genre you would stick KOIAI in, I'm not even sure they know (and they probably don't care). "A New Picture" contrasts heavily with "Come see me." They do not have a bassist yet (they are fairly new), but Wakazaemon (from East of Eden) has been supporting them on tour.

This band's name is pronounced Nemo-feela (4 syllables). You're pronouncing it with one extra syllable at the end. Nemophila is a genus of flowering planet often called "baby blue eyes". The band's logo is the Nemophila flower. They have performed a lot of covers on their KZbin channel. Their cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" is one of my favourites. Also I'd disagree with you that Nemophila are heavier than LOVEBITES. You are yet to hear LOVEBITES do a thrash song.

I think Nemo at their heaviest in songs like Sen or Oiran are heavier as far asa more meaty or crunchier sound because of Saki and Hazuki using 7 strings. But we are really splitting hairs I love both bands.

Yes, Nemophila is another excellent Japanese all-female metal band. Yes, Saki, the other guitarist left the band several months ago, pursuing her own career. Hazuki is also an outstanding guitar player. Yes, Japanese musicians are just outstanding, especially women. Another excellent band is Asterism, a trio with outstanding bassist and female guitarist. I recommend “Dawn” and “Rising moon”. I’d dare to say that currently the Japanese rock scene is the best in the world.

In the playlist tab on Nemophilas KZbin page there is a cover playlist of 50+ songs. You should check out Hanabie. Yukina is the best screamer. All their songs are fun. Hanabie is heavier than Nemophila.

It is pronounced as Neh-moh-fil-ah. It is a small blue flower found in meadows. Singer is Mayu who doesn't necessarily growls but it is her fry screams is really something. Stage left is Hazuki, stage right is Saki, bassist is Haraguchi-san, and the drummer is Tamu Murata. Tamu is a popular well known session drummer who has collaborated with many Japanese artists. Yeah Nemophila is heavier but they also have some lighter songs. Nemophila had their first American tour last year. Their sound and songs has revamped slightly since Saki left the band earlier this year. With Mayu playing guitar and Hazuki taking the solo slack that was once Saki's. They have said recently to having discussions about bringing another guitarist but decided to keep to just four members. Saki left just over a month after the band played at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo back in February. It is a high honor to play there for many Japanese artists because it is only by invitation. The group that has played at Budokan by far more than anyone and 2nd place is not even close is Babymetal.
