I am not sure where you get your Christianity interpretation. If it is Catholicism, That is not Christian. Second, The premise of Christianity is not God is Love. It is not about making the whole world accept Jesus Christ as God. Christianity believes the same things Jews believe. Judaism is the original Christianity. They are not derived from each other. The divergence of the two happens upon the Birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you knew the Pentateuch and the works of the Prophets, you would know what Christians believe. We have no need to make the world believe in Christ as God has not given us authority that displaces his authority. What is the Bible about? The one thing the whole thing is saying: Jesus is Salvation. Think about it. From beginning to end we are in need of reconciliation to God and the promised one that would come from the family of Abraham, from the family of David is that reconciliation. In the Old Testament, Jews were to be a Sanctified and strange people that were the means to get to God. If you believed in the promised one like Rahab believed, you became a Jew and waited for the promise to be fulfilled. Jesus is the fulfilled promise, and we have something greater than Rahab. Now, we who are Christians are adopted into the Jews. That is why Christians stand with the Jews. Hopefully, the blinders will fall off and we will be united in trust of Jesus Christ. Well the rest of the video answered my question. Whatever garbage comparison video you watched, was definitely basing the Christian position on the Catholics. Christians barely focus on Mary at all. They also don't look at the Bible as Paul is the most important person. It is Jesus that we focus on. From Old to New Testament, there are so many people and they made so many mistakes along with their good parts, that it does not matter about the people. Even Paul said he erred and sinned much, and that Christ was all that mattered. John testified to Jesus being the Savior as a first hand eye witness to his life and resurrection.

What she talked about was not a recount of history. It is an opinion piece speaking of Christianity of which she is not a believer. Everything everyone says about religious beliefs can be said to be what the person was taught to believe and thus make a strawman argument to discredit the other person. She pulls from other videos that make an assumption of Christians as being all under the umbrella of what the Catholics say and do. The Catholics are not Christian as salvation being of Christ. They think Christ is the example of how to be saved by working to be saved. Follow the law well enough, and you will be acceptable to God. Christians believe we all fall short and if one time a sin violated the law then the whole law is violated. We can not therefore save ourselves. The main difference, where the rubber hits the road: Jusaism: When the Jews came out of Egypt and after wandering in Sinai for 40 years, gave itself a mandate to appropriate, by force of sword, a limited amount of territory around the Jordan river. Xianity: Gave itself a mandate to spread a particular interpretation of Jesus' message to the world through persuasion, but not by sword. IsStupid: Gave itself a mandate to take over the world by force of sword without limit of any territorial boundaries with out any time limit. The Christian mandate considers any government to have been appointed by God, or at least that one should be as good a citizen as possible, as if God had appointed the government. Basically what the Jews have been doing during the Diaspora, for the most part. A big remaining question is whether the Jews have a post diaspora mandate to reclaim prior claims under prior mandate. If so, the territory of Israel would need to expand quite a bit more. Personally, i believe Israel should hold onto any land gained through defensive hot war. Not because of any prior mandate, but because that is the way of the world, and in a bad world, Israel, right now, is a better culture than IsStupid, the only other "nation" waging hot war against it. At the very least, Israel's borders need to be redrawn, after each defensive war in line with the most effeciency for national security. For example, a straight line is better defended for less cost than a meandering border. The border should now be the Jordan river and the Philidelphi corridor. Christianity, on the other hand, always has a temptation to get involved in politics in a bid to marry its doctrine with each local head of state, as in the case of Roman Emperor Constantine. History shows that when church and state combine this way, some bad things can happen. The U.S. learned from the bad things and set a new precedent based on separation of church and state. To the degree Israel follows the U.S. model, it should be supported over the worlds ancient models of governance which sought constant expansion by sword. Did Christians really appropriate Jewish culture.The first Christians were Jewish following a Jewish Messiah based on a Jewish messianic tradition,these Jewish people then declared themselves to be Christians (followers of the Christ/Messiah), the very one that the Jewish prophets foretold in Jewish scripture. You pointed out that the correct name of God is Yahweh, and indeed it is the one most often used in the texts. However, Deuteronomy 10:17 says that Yahweh and Elohim are the same and they are even both identical with El, the principal god from an earlier religion. In English in the Bible we often have awful translations for Deuteronomy 10:17 which read something like God is God the Lord and the God who will not be bribed. This of course sounds like nonsense, but the names of God are four different ones there who are all said to describe the one God (Only Adonai is Lord, not really a name).

Ugh, as a Christian, I'd have to say the video you're reacting to did a horrible job. It said we worship Jesus, which is true, but it's better to say the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who is also Yahweh (each person takes the divine name). The worst violation is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (basically not believing in the true God). In Christianity many strains have the same idea they present for Judaism (fixing the world, or said another way, building Jesus' kingdom). This idea is spread through the NT. If you are a follower of Jesus you must spread love, peace, and grace and this is building the kingdom. Haven't finished the video so we'll see if I have to edit the comment to include anything else.

An interesting thing with Christianity is that alot of congregations obey Paul more than Jesus. ”The woman should be silent in the congregation”. If they held Jesus over Paul I would have accepted Christianity but as it is, I would not. Paul obviously hated women but Jesus loved women even if he never enjoyed one. Yes, the "Woman Held in Adultery" is a story most Christians are very fond of and is well known to pretty much anyone who grew up in a Western (nominally Christian) country. The story was added later, similar to the ending of Mark, but I don't think it matters. I'm an atheist, so Jesus exists as a concept/character. He is real because Christians are supposed to seek to emulate him, much as Muslims are with Muhammad (which is the critical difference in the level of toxicity in the two religions). Jesus as a character is defined by the stories about him in the Bible and by the way most Christians view him. I say most Christians because there are different versions of Jesus depending on how people see him (usually based on how ignorant one is, but also on scriptural interpretation).

I’m Christian and I believe in the trinity but not as people make it seem. We believe Jesus is the son of God not necessarily God. He was sent here and God was in him. God speaks through Jesus and he does acknowledge it is not he himself but God speaking almost kind of like a messenger concept. Also lol not all Christians celebrate Christmas and Easter and things like that.
