I think that because she said all her music is extremely personal and she was talking about how someone could be her forever, but not right now and how she wanted to explore, my theory is that she cheated or almost cheated and they had a conversation about it and maybe she wanted an open relationship and Shannon wanted to be monogamous and they decided to split till Fletcher gets the exploring her sexuality out of her system.
