Here is my take on this video: I think each scene represents how the mainstream and hip hop community respond to NF. At first nobodies around. He's dreaming of this. Humble beginnings. Then he pops on the scene but the little girl won't give him a high5, so he hi-5's himself. Everybody is like who is this guy. Then he breaks onto the scene and the critics crush him. But he says he is far from brittle, he is unbreakable which is a reference to the movie where Bruce Willis is Unbreakable and he battles Brittle. But NF does the impossible, he succeeds! Then they become incredulous, like the food scene. The rap scene becomes petrified and threatens him with a butter knife (that is because their threats are meaningless to NF. He doesn't give a shit about them and of course Hollywood). He crashes the scene and takes what he wants, does what he wants and it burns down the house. Then he shows he is above them, and he is not going to change. No Hollywood. Finally he is in his own lane, going against the flow, and the other rappers are crashing all around him. This whole video is "tongue-in-cheek" and goes along with the visuals and the lyrics. He leaves a wreck behind him. He is a disruptive force. He says his ideas are astronomical, but he really doesn't take himself that seriously. Although he takes his work very seriously. And I definitely see a reference to Intro 1". He is doing the impossible. Actually I think this bars "No weight to his name" and "one-trick-pony" are a reference to the quote from the Rolling Stone article that dissed The Search album. This whole song is summed up in the last verse and then everything makes sense. He is explaining that he is different, he is moving up, he will not change, he drives in his own lane, he goes against the flow, you better get out of his way. Interesting, I think a lot of this song ties into Intro.

Decent run ??? NF is a huge artist. Over billion streams. Over 30 platinum gold records. Top.05% most listened to artist on Spotify. Multiple #1 albums. Selling out arenas last year and this year for his Hope album. Sport promos (most recently NBA playoffs and MLB using his songs, tv shows using his songs. Maybe I misunderstood what u were saying but like Nate or not, nobody can deny the numbers. He is a huge artist.

@@TheBeelzboss I think he is more known than u think but ur not wrong. Also I would guess way more folks have heard his stuff and not realized it was him. I know 3 people personally in the last few years where he has come up in conversation cause we were talking about music and they were like I love that song/songs (Not realizing it was him) Nate has said in his music and in the very few interviews he has done that he hates fame and thinks it is fake. He doesn’t promote himself like most artist do. He is rarely on social media also. If he played the game like the majority of artist out there he would be known even more. He has also said he is asked to be a feature on others big artist music and he declines. That would also make him a bigger artist but he doesn’t care about that. (In fairness during that interview he said he should probably be more open to saying yes to at least some of those in the future) He wants to make real music for the people who want to rock with him and then focus on his family. To me that speaks to how impactful his music is to folks that he has become as big as he is making his own way. Not really promoting himself. Nobody co signing him. Not adding a 1000 features every album trying to increase his audience. Even Em had Dre co sign. Most rappers had someone who gave them a chance. NF did it on his own.

@Tremend_ Yeah, those are also all very common symbols that have been used long before either of them were born. It very well may be that Tom saw clouds and liked the visual, so he used it and put his own spin on it. NF may have seen no response and liked the beat and wanted a similar sound on clouds. It's also possible that they just have similar outlooks to life, so they make similar artistic choices.

This is the Intro to the Clouds album. NF nevers has a chorus on his Intros. Intro 1, Intro 2, Intro 3, The Search, Clouds and Hope are all Intros. But you should not listen to all the Intros in order. Each Intro is for the album's content and connects the previous album. All Intros have 5 characteristics that are always in the song. One is no chorus. Just not when you get to an Intro in your NF Journey and try to figure out the other common qualities. Best of luck. I would do Story next.

I understand the "reaction" portion but how does anybody get a feel for and understand a song with 300 pauses. Listen to lengths of the song, pause, assess and maybe come back and listen again.
