Not Getting Married is from Company! Nightmare Time are a bunch of side stories taking place in Hatchetfield, there are three full episodes each with two stories. Nightmare Time stories work similarly in the Hatchetfield universe as Black Friday in the sense that they take place in their own timeline while still being canon.

About Nightmare Time, "Is this a new story or a sequel?" Nightmare Time is a series of 6 stories that explain more about the town of Hatchetfield and the strange occurrences that happen to its residents. You'll see a lot of familiar characters and a few new ones too. The time in which the stories take place varies. Some are like prequels while others are like a sequel.

The guy who turned is called Matt Dahan and he did piano for this. There is one more cast member in ep 3 of nmt who isn't in the intro. They are 6 little stories which are in separate universes. I think only one links to another one and that is within the same episode

I love that you were pretty dead on with the vibes for LIHN! Without many spoilers, it's set in a 1961 Juvie Hall for girls. Susannah is a new transfer and Sheila has been their for quite a while. It's such a good show, and has some great music, which was actually written by the same guy that wrote Be More Chill. Oh Well is the second to last song of Act 1, and is definitely a nice scene for sure! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I really hope a cast album comes out soon because I just know you'd love it!

@@Barbara2.0 Joe Iconis (writer) is definitely trying to work on it, but there is a full bootleg on KZbin (he even knows about it, knows that it's the only way for people to watch the show since it's obviously not running and there's no cast recording or anything). The quality's pretty good and it's so worth the watch, the show is incredible. If you don't want to watch a bootleg, Revolution Song has a studio recording on KZbin as well.

Yesssss! Love Darren Criss and his performance! So obviously Broadway Backwards is just an event where they perform the song out of context, but the song is from Company-one of my favorite musicals ever and absolutely recommend you watch it (there are several professional video recordings of it)! If you know Being Alive, it's from the same show. Sondheim is a master at letting his music accurately reflect and reveal character, and as you noted, he often packs a lot! So if that's your thing, I think you would enjoy his musicals.

Heather Laws from the 2006 Company Revival is DEFINITELY my favorite performance of this. Darren did an amazing job, but Laws' performance really does it for me.

I'm torn between the 2006 production and the 2011 production whenever I have to choose one to recommend to first time viewers. I like the fun, party vibes of the 2011 one, but I like the acting in the 2006 one better....

I'm so excited for your Nightmare Time reactions!!! Obviously people have already answered your question, but my take is: it's an anthology series set in Hatchetfield- similar to Black Friday in that you see the same characters and settings, but set in alternate timelines. Without spoiling anything, the series reveals some AMAZING lore, delves deeper into the characters and their relationships, and drops (what I believe to be) some hints as to how this world works, and how the timelines connect. It's an incredible series. The music, the comedy, the drama- UGH I could gush about it all day. Gear up (pun intended) for Jane is a Car though.

It’s really ironic seeing Darren Chris singing that song because he was apart of this show called glee and they had an arc where two characters sang that song so all I can see when seeing him singing that song is glee and that scene For more context for people who haven’t watched glee: The main story is that they’re apart of a high school glee club and compete every year (and there’s a lot of side arcs and stories that are crazy and chaotic.) It’s just a chaotic show in general-

"Do you SEE those sounds" Um...no I'm afraid I don't. Darren's song is from the show Company. I think it's sung by a character named Amy. If you ever check it out I recommend the 2006 version. That one has much raw power. Also, the start and end video is from Shitty Broadway. There's a lot more, including a very good rendition of Agony, a very weird rendition of Confrontation, and Curt Mega singing the dentist's song from Little Shop of Horrors in way a lot of people have decided is Torture Tango 2.0 (Curt's Revenge)

OKAY BUT LOVE IN HATE NATION IS AMAZING! I was one of the lucky people who got to see it and the trans character was played by a trans actor, the emotions of the cannon queer people in the play feel so genuine in the writing, and the ladies are really strong in this! The creator, Joe Iconis, did his research to make the play as good as it could be and it was great! Please please PLEASE do your own research about this musical because all of the songs are fantastic. It does include some dark themes, warning, but there are lesbians and a revolution!

I don't believe in the existence of talent (at least in the classical sense of the word), i really don't. But Darren Criss makes me question this belief. He's an amazing actor, songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist (he plays piano, guitar, violin), polyglot, and just an amazing human being. A couple of days ago the i found a series of videos where Darren and Leslie Odom Jr. improvise songs based on the random emojis. And it sounded good! If that's not a talent, i don't know what is.

I think people will probably explain to this but nightmare time is 6 new stories set in the hatchet field Multiverse. And not all of them actually take place in the same universe that becomes a parent because characters that will die in one story will be alive and another one. But all of them do expand on the floor and general weirdness of hatchet field. They are done as Internet readings rather than a full play and there are roughly 11 songs that get played over the course of the three episodes the one you watched is the nightmare Time theme song it's five most people it seems to be considered the best and I think it's the best one although all of the songs are amazing and that song will play at the beginning of every episode because it's the theme song. This is what they did in lieu of the pandemic not letting them do a full production so they've had to postpone nerdy prudes Must Die They also did A Christmas Carol show that they did as a reading much like a nightmare time I have naturally seen that one but it has Meredith in it
