Hey it’s John, thanks for taking a look at my deadlift! I ended up deadlifting a conservative 192.5 kg at the meet because of the injury but hit PRs on the squat and bench. My back has been feeling good the last few weeks so I am working the weight back up again and making some progress. I watched another fcf video where you critiqued someone who had the same issue as me. “Knees back” was what I took from that so I’m glad you mentioned it again for me. Bar doesn’t roll when I start the pull anymore. Thanks again!

Bryce is such a good coach and the fact that he's doing this for free is incredible!

I don’t think it’s incredible. I think it’s just smart marketing. No better way to show people to hire you as a coach then show some quick tip coaching over multiple video clips for different people.

When we unrack the bar...leg drive. When we press...leg drive. On the drive home...leg drive. Cooking dinner....leg drive. Brushing your teeth........................leg drive.

I did your 16 week program and got amazing results. I could barely deadlift 350lb at the beginning of your program and by the end, I hit 350lb for 5 reps! I started your program again this week and I'm hoping to get a 405lb deadlift by the end of it. The fact that your deadlift program is free is amazing! Thank you so much!!

Alan should pull more slack and keep is arms long (just think of it as if they are ropes holding the weight) Insane progress he has made!

Alan’s making great progress. Maybe put in some paused deadlifts where the weight hovers an inch over the ground for a second or two before the lift is completed. It reinforces good positioning and patience as the bar breaks from the floor. Wish the rest of us were getting that much stronger so fast.

Hey Bryce, Lan here. Thanks for taking the time to review my squat. My take-aways are to (1) incorporate tempo work, with a focus on being more slow and controlled out of the hole rather than rushing it and (2) cue myself to "pull myself into the bottom" rather than "falling into it". More control, less loosely goosey.

Fcf are chill, always a good start to the weekend :) A good cue for Alan would be to “move the bar with the upper back” think about starting the movement with the upper back, if the bar starts moving before the upper back, you should probably lower the weight a bit (since it’s a new movement pattern you’re trying to learn)

17:30 this fixed everything for me. hyperextending trying to stay super upright was causing my back issues in the first place. actually looking down at a good angle made my back stronger, my injuries gone, and my lifts heavier

Love you bro. Have been seeing your journey as a student and teacher of the game for years now. I’ve learnt a lot from you. Curious, how do you film these videos? I coach and would love to help tweak my clients technique like this by recording a personalized vid with drawings.

These are great videos man. I can't believe these aren't getting more views. Maybe you should change the name of this series to "Natty or Not Viewer Lifts" or "I worked out like David Goggins, broke down some video and then this happened"...Your welcome for all the subs you're about to get. 😆

Would squatting in a flat shoe be an option? Keep you off your toes and also maybe reduce the too deep squats depth?

have Alan work on some good mornings and reverse hypers. strengthen his lower back to help correct the hips coming up first.
