Another 3+ week late video! Yay! After reacting to the music of Smash Ultimate, I immediately decided to react to the new Palutena's Guidances! (I sat through every single guidance as well, will upload a comp soon.) Kinda late, but that Zelda is actually more of a combination between ALBW and ALTTP, leaning more to ALTTP (in the japanese Nintendo direct Sakurai stated her to be from that game as far as i remember, so the english version must have been either a translation error or just to kinda point out the fact that it was inspired by both)

Technically speaking we don't actually know which Zelda is under the Shiek disguise. given the fact that the design is based off of breath of the wild's depiction of the shiekah one could guess that games zelda but theres no actually proof that zelda is even under there. some people have even theorized that the person in that outfit is actually link.

Well, Palutena isn't voiced by Ali Hillis anymore either. I think the only person to reprise their role of the Kid Icarus characters is Antony Del Rio as Pit/DP. And as for having her re-record the old Viridi's lines. It would be incredibly jarring and awkward to have have to the old and new voices mixed in with each other. Not to mention lazy; you know...like Snake's Codecs in this game just being copy/paste from Brawl.

@PlaySerious Um...yes they could. It's called getting a new voice actor. They do it all the time. This game already has tons of new voice actors: Zelda, Link, Ganon, Viridi, male Pokemon Trainer, English Marth and Roy. Ike even has two versions for no reason.

HeavyDonkeyKong Highly agree. I kinda know the voice actor (Scott Bullock) and asked him if he remembered voicing hades. He said he really loved it and had a lot of fun voicing him. Sadly he also said he retired from the voice acting career but is willing to do smaller roles

Geeky Nerdy oh hi, we meet again! It is suspicious, but just keep your expectations in check. Actually if Nintendo couldn’t hire the old VAs except Antony, I thought they would’ve just left out the newer guidances or maybe kept the Japanese in with subtitles. They went through the trouble of hiring new ones so it’s definitely possible that there’s more work for them than just the guidances. We’ll just have to wait and see. 2019 is already pretty stacked so I’ll give from 2020-2021 to release with reveal possibilities opening this E3 or later. I still think we’ll see a new game, just not this year.

I honestly find Medusa more interesting than Hades and I hate that she gets tossed to the side in favor of him. I actually didn't know that Viridi said that people from the Underworld are worse than humans. So... why does she go after them?

I think Viridis said that the Underworld was worse than humans in Chapter 12 of Uprising. But well I could be wrong. And I know that Medusa was banished, but she still became part of the Underworld and did more than just attack all of the humans after she did. To be honest I thought that Hades was a great villain. But Medusa did get a decent amount of time in the spotlight too in Uprising, IMO. I kinda wish that Thanatos appeared more. I loved him XD.

I think they were saying Sheik is male because Hyleans aren’t super sexually dimorphic, so really the only way to tell if someone is male/female is through clothing. At least thats what I think, but maybe they just didn’t know or he could be from an alternate timeline 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually, Viridi has the same VA for all the old guidances, and they weren't rerecorded. She only has her new VA for the new ones. It's incredibly inconsistent.

@@SuperMarioT I listened to them all over and over, and while it's not too noticable, you can definitely hear a difference in Viridi's voice in the old guidances compared to the new ones. The guidances themselves even have different sound qualities.

3:10 You are not the only one. Viridi is voiced by Dayci Brookshire for Ultimate (and I hope ONLY Ultimate) and is a new voice actor with some prior experience. Her performance for Viridi ranged from ok to awful (especially when she speak loud/shouts) 7:04 Probably one of the rare times where I feel like Dayci did good as Viridi. Yeah Dayci feels like she is missing something big. Which makes me very hesistant for her to come back. If she were to get closer to Viridi's Voice were she doesn't crack and actually can get some variety in range for Viridi, she could be potentially good but honestly would prefer to see Hynden Walch return. Either way, hope next smash (or DLC but it's probably not happening unless the lack of Kid Icarus music has something to say) that Viridi gets to be a fighter. For the time being, since the Mii Costume is in the game and I don't have to pay for it, I going to play Mii Swordfighter a lot alongside the Ashley Costume. #ViridiForSmash #AshleyForSmashley

6:35 answer to the question: If I remember correctly, I think sheik in ssbu is from a different timeline, like how link, zelda, and ganon was. EDIT: when zelda changes 2 sheik, zeldas sex changes as well when turning into sheik. That's y they're referring sheik as a male.
