What a great idea. I was a bit skeptical before because this aria has become so mainstream that I can hardly listen to it anymore. But these videos are so funny and emotional at the same time, especially at the end, that I will certainly watch them more often. It was once again a wonderful start to the early morning, thank you so much Peter!

Very funny video, but also moving, and telling about the overwhelming effect opera music and good singing can have on people. It‘s not necessarily that one has has to learn or be prepared to listen, but simply to be open and willing.

Interesting how the reactions are to this performance including hearing it so common some can't listen to the song anymore. I can't listen to other variations very well. Pavarotti's version though triggers awe and wonder every time, I mean every time I hear it. Yet, his version is not the only version that does that. Saving that Puccini doesn't get enough credit as Pavarotti is heard.

You will find the most reaction videos and views on opera music where the performers not are trained opera house singers, but most numerous from type Got Talent shows. So primarily it´s not the singers and the context that are in focus but the music. You can find great music in any genre, in opera there are a few evergreens too. Note, the most viewed Nessun Dorma is not Pavarotti but Paul Potts who, with his +200 million views, leaves even the great Pavarotti behind in the dust. The other tenors, in comparison are not even noteable, the contemporaries are almost invisible. Also note Paul Potts after his success flew around the world for a decade, nr one representing opera, invited to the big shows so he now, also, can afford live in a castle 😀.

@@peterpawlik2495 Yes.There is a video of Corelli vs. Pavarotti in Nessun Dorma: Roy Reacts on KZbin. Ultimately, I think that it's the TIMBRE of the voice that gets you and makes you prefer one great singer over another. Keep making stimulating videos!
