i grew up in a country where seeing a black person is still so rare, when i actually spoke to one i was almost 20. the media tailored to me was not including them much either. such a shame, when i finally discovered the beauty you hold, the sense for your community, how strong your personality traits often are (unfortunately that also might stem from being oppressed so much) and how gorgeous are colors on you - that was like discovering a whole new color spectrum by itself. this comment definitely sounds stupid and i'm sorry for that, but the point i wanted to make is that i love seeing appreciation of different kinds of people anywhere (and not just "look our company is inclusive"), because there's so much hidden beauty, sometimes even bashed by people not allowing diversity (let it be because of race, mental differences, sexual orientation or those who don't meet the "beauty standards" etc.)

Idk why but maybe because if the curls get frizzy or whatever on day one, I have so many options on how to style it until I wash it without needed to repeat any styles( unless I want to). But we all have dif hair and all that. Most of the people in my family wear their hair super short so it all depends on you.

@@Diabolicallaughter- you can train your hair to go longer, you’ll just have to put up with the greasiness for longer. if you wait a week, maybe even two without washing, you could maybe train your hair to go 3-5 days without washing. its the hurdles to get there that make it so difficult. however, dry shampoo honey! day 2 hair will last until day 3 with some good dry shampoo.😁

Funny fact. My hair was thick and down below my bra. A friend was in hair school and needed to practice finger waves and French twists. That was the style in the late 80's for beautiful black ladies. She had to use a whole jar of gel on me, and I had to sit under the dryer for two hours. It came out looking gorgeous. Also, my mom was born with natural finger waves.

The sheer AUDACITY of these individuals, I have to break it down! Curly Goddess Veil….that’s EXACTLY what she is! The patience she has is just something else, but it’s so worth it. Her hair is probably the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen on anyone! Tea Renee….her hair is just blinding with its shine with that blowout! I went to her channel and found a video of her bringing her hair straight to curly, and holy sh*t! This girl’s hair is just perfection whether straight or curly! Tiana Marie….those were the most perfect finger waves I’ve ever seen in my damn life, and so effortless! Kayli Boyle….that was definitely a 90’s style blowout and I didn’t know I needed that satisfaction in my life, but apparently I did! I love Gio’s hair! My son has his hair super long but his hair is mostly straight with some kinky pieces. I have only taken my son for 2 trims ever he is 8 and his hair goes to the back of his knees. Luckily he doesn’t wanna cut his hair because I’d have a heart attack if he did.

It's so awesome to see people with hip long hair. I had that at the beginning of last year, but with two chops it's now up to just passed my shoulders. Chopping all that hair off is all interesting endeavor, and I think the total combined between the two chops was like 25 or more inches.
