The meaning of the "rest first" in their song MAPA is "taking a break" from working hard. Filipino parents usually work hard and sacrifices a lot for their children. So the song is basically a tribute to parents expressing their gratitude.

these boys are Filipino P-pop., they have their own styles, quiet different from k-pop., they aren't under any production., they produce themselves, these group ,durects, write their own songs ,choreograph., dances ,sing and they have different kind of voices, their qualility is diff., from other's , so mind blowing, amazing, after all the hardship, 🥵setbacks they went thru., ben and ben is only a guest of that show, just finish the song and understand the lyrics first ,you will find out the true meaning. ,they did pop,songs. rap, hip hop, acapella even folk., in every song they did has a life meaning in it. 🙏♥️

First off, thanks for featuring SB19 in your channel, glad you liked them and differentiated them from K-pop. The song Mapa was not about parents dying, it was a hommage to parents and it’s like telling them to relax because you’ve got them covered. The guy that you liked in the second video is Pablo and he’s the composer and/or lyricist of the group and a great rapper, too. In the last video, the guy in the middle was not Josh but Stell. Josh was seated at the rightmost. SB19 definitely is unique - they can pull off the saddest ballads, heavy rap, sweet harmonizations, harmonizations during rap verses, high notes, strong dance moves, powerful lyrics in their songs, etc. while remaining down-to-earth and genuine. A total package.

6:55 - I like it more than Kpop Yeah for me it's true. Although I'm a Kpop fan since 2015, I know kpop groups are good at dancing, singing, rapping, they're kind, handsome but Ppop is more talented especially in singing and they're also kind. Hi Josh! I can't believe that you're reacting to SB19! YEY! I've watched your RVs before and really love your videos but I kinda been inactive in YT for awhile..then I've discovered about sb19 and instanly loved them..first time stanning an artist and been fangirling ever since. From what I know, they were not being treated same way as to kpop. I mean, they were given freedom to express their art in their own terms. They make their own songs, choreograph it and do the visual direction (not sure if I used the right term though). They were really involved in their craft. They can sing, dance & rap. They really worked so hard and have been through a lot. They struggled at the very beginning (people bashed and hated them a lot..calling them names). All they want is to share their music and share PINOY POP to the world. They are now very popular here in Philippines but they remained humble. I really hope you'll do another RV of their other videos. Please. I really believed you would love them even more and I really want to witness your journey into knowing them. The song MAPA, the original version is more emotional same as the message as you have observed. The band version made it cheerful or more upbeat kind of song. You should check out the original version and I suggest the MAPA KALAYAAN FESTIVAL video. Pablo (the kid you like with the blonde hair haha) composed and co-produced all their songs in their latest EP which include the first 2 songs you listened to, which are polar opposites of each other. Pablo also wrote the lyrics of Hanggang sa Huli. They are very hands on also -- choreo, styling, MV conceptualization, directing. They deserve the world stage!
