"Yeah, I don't understand why she was so bothered that he had a mobile phone." When Scream came out in 1996, mobile phone ownership was on the rise but it still wasn't terribly common -- especially for kids. (One of the early flip phones was a popular model, but it cost about $2k in today's dollars, which was difficult to justify since smart phones weren't a thing yet so it's functionality was limited.) So it _was_ odd that he had one.

are you referring to the cordless phone in the opening scene? That was not a cell phone. It plugged into a charger, but used wireless tech to connect to the home's landline via that antenna, had short range and usually dropped out in cold spots around the house and might have range around some of the back yard. Terrible connection and depended a lot where that antenna was pointing. Became popular in late '80s thru the '90s.

15:30 As a realistic medical answer, no, it doesn't work sticking it in a vacuum cleaner. I remember reading years ago about someone who did it. It essentially turned the guy's peepee inside out and places enormous strain on the veins in the peepee. Said guy would end up in surgery with a Urologist or risk permanent damage. So guys, find a lady that you like...not a hose (or hoes).

Great reaction Dawn. Some of it is very definitely boy humor. Specifically 13-14 year old boy humor. Though even at my age, I still laugh at it. (Let's leave it at I'm old enough to be your father Dawn.) The Scream 2 bits are definitely funnier if you've seen it. For Scary Movie 2. It is funny. Similar style of humor. The major one to see before taking that on is The Haunting. There are also bits Charlie's Angels and a few others. 3 and 4 are not as good, but still funny. One of the Zucker Brothers, (Airplane, The Naked Gun), took over for the Wayans Brothers, who got tired of the project. I get mixed up for what needs to be watched for which. But Signs, The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, The Ring, The Grudge are the big ones for those. Plus lots of other references. The what's up was from a beer commercial just before this came out. This movie made that annoying trend last longer, and apparently make its way to Scotland. As an American, my deepest apologies. 😅 Don't know what direction you're going now, but I highly recommend Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I've seen enough of your reaction videos to know you would be tickled. I'd also love to see you do Porky's. Yes, there is some boy humor. But it is one of the funniest movies of the 1980s, and you will laugh very hard at certain points. Happy Halloween sweetie.

Ghost at 25:26! The first two are done by the Wayans brothers, and are both vulgar & hysterically funny. They're also rated R. For #3 and later we see different directors & screenwriters, and a move to a PG-13 rating. Not nearly as funny (IMO) but the PG-13 rating allowed for a wider audience. When I first watched it I think the "money shot" scene made me laugh the most. Fun Fact: the tag line was There Will Be No Sequel. When I comes to the 3rd and 4th the original owners of the franchise sold the rights to the guy who made Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies, hence Leslie Nelson. So the 3rd and 4th are more of deadpan slapstick and verbal comedy where the 2nd is goofy random shock with references. Don't bother with Scary Movie 5. I've only seen it once and I don't remember it being all that funny.

The Wayans type of comedy translated well from tv to film for the most part. You should check out the earlier episodes of In Living Color where you get that same type of crudeness but that was more restrained by the tv sensors. I had not seen Scary Movie since the initial theatrical screening/VHS release and being a die-hard horror fan it gave me something to laugh at, the subsequent sequels didn't quite fair as well much like the series it was parodying.
