This was Steve Carell's "breakout" movie. Director Judd Apatow co-wrote it with Steve. The drunk girl who threw-up in the car is Apatow's wife, Leslie Mann. The movie is full of Apatow's friends and people who had appeared or would appear in his other works. Reactions are ALWAYS best with Dawn!

20:40 "I don't know who Jack Palance is." Then your next movie needs to be City Slickers. It's a very funny movie, you'll love it. Starring Billy Crystal who is amazing, but Jack Palance has a major role in the movie and he's funny too as "Curly". Watch it. Love it. But when you see Jack Palance as Curly, remember this line from this movie about his grandmother looking like Jack Palance, and also, Jack was 14 years older when this movie was made than he was in City Slickers.

I haven't been a 40-year-old virgin (yet), but I've been one in my 30's. Women say it doesn't matter, but it sure mattered whenever I tried dating. Instant turn-off for women who asked about my experience. It's definitely a red flag past 30. I'm not quite as ignorant as Steve Carell's character (I know what sandbags feel like), but I've never focused on getting laid either. People say it'll happen, but it hasn't so far, and I'm honestly okay if it never does. Sharing my life and starting a family would've been great in an idyllic world, but I don't live in an idyllic world, I live in a sad Canada. I just focus on being a better, stronger man for its own sake, virgin or no.

To all the virgins in the house (and reading the comments, there are plenty of y'all): Don't _ever_ let anyone tell you there's something wrong with you or you need help (unless you want it for yourself, of course). I could write a book about why to wait for sex with someone you love. The first chapter would be called, "Exploring as committed virgins is glorious!" The last chapter would be called, "Why to stay single for your entire life." Inbetween would be a shaken snowglobe of good, bad, fun, horrid, compromises, revenge, shocks, sadness, sheer joy, and every nuanced emotion inbetween. I am 63, 10 years out of a 32-year wonderful marriage that ended because, well, just because & it wasn't my choice. Now, I have zero desire to ever be intimate with anyone again. I don't have to share the remote, ask where they want to have dinner, get yelled at, "Are you _still_ on the computer?!" or even share my covers. I'm just an old fuddy-duddy now and I love it. My life has never been so much fun, so bright, so joyful as it is right now. Whoever you are, virgins or not... your life is yours to do with what you want. Have a blast!

Yes Steve didn't believe there was anyway to "fake" that so he insisted on legit getting waxed. The actress playing the cosmotologist claimed she knew how to do it properly but actually lied to get the part. It became evident when she did his nipple. You're supposed to put some vaseline on it otherwise you can actually rip it off. She didnt know that, one of the producers did thankfully and stopped her just in time saving Steve.

Losing my virginity was a very dramatic time in my life. Which I guess makes sense for teenagers. But anyway, here's the story: My first time was in high school, and at the time I thought I had an internet girlfriend (codename: Melody), but she told me that she didn't consider me a boyfriend, which made me mad. We had been friends for years and had been flirty for 1 or 2 of them. So young, angsty, and dumb teenager me, went and dated another girl at school (codename: Fairy). She was rumored to be a slut at school, but I didn't know that when she took my virginity. She just seemed like a cool and nice girl, who I also thought was hot. So anyway, I was so excited about losing my virginity, that I even told Melody about it. We were BFFs at the time and we told each other everything. And oh boy, Melody got furious. She lashed out so hard at me, like I was her actual boyfriend or something. And when I reminded her that she herself said that we were not in a relationship, she said I should've read between the lines. She ignored my calls, blocked me on AIM and Xanga, and just straight up avoided contact. And then I found out she started dating her badminton partner, which I KNEW she had feeling for. So it was definitely over between us. Not only did I lose Melody as a BFF and potential GF, but Fairy also ghosted me. She didn't even talk to me anymore, and got her BFF to tell me that we were just a summer fling and that I'm too good for her. I think she dropped out of school too since I never saw her there again. So yeah, the summer I lost my virginity MEGA sucked for me. And all of the drama outweighs the actual memory of the sex. In the end, I just choose to forget my first time, which I haven't thought about for almost 20 years. I've moved as far away from my hometown and state as possible, and I have an awesome wife and 2 kids now. Life is great.

This movie is still hilarious even after almost 20 years later! Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen were a fantastic choice as supporting characters. The scene with Kevin Hart is one of my favorite scenes of the whole movie! As someone who is almost 35 and still a virgin, I can easily relate to this movie. When I was in high school, nobody wanted to date me. After I graduated I told myself it would happen when it happens. But as I got older, I became less and less interested in sex and relationships in general. Some people just aren't interested in sex or relationships, and there's nothing wrong with that. So glad that you enjoyed this movie!

Steve Carell's wife, Nancy, plays the counelor at the reproductive health clinic. Both Steve and Nancy were correspondents on "The Daily Show" during the late 90s, early 2000s.

Weird, i thought the line was "did you have shellfish tonight?" But in this video it was "did you have a daiquiri tonight?" Am i crazy, or are there different versions for different regions like Demolition Man?

he says both. He tastes the shellfish when she kisses him and smells the daiquiri when she throws up on him.

I've never seen your reactions, but I'd like to say everything you said through out the video was exactly right. I don't know how to explain it. Like you know exactly how guys think. Like you're too good to be true. All your opinions were spot on and you seem so nice and caring. I don't know how much of that is an act, but I loved your reaction and you're an awesome person.

I like how you switch between dramas and comedies. Keeps you channel interesting. A suggestion for your next drama turn: 'Ragtime'. Great film, definitely worth a look. (And if you want to understand the ending song and dance number, watch 'Hair' - same director of 'Ragtime'.)

I live in Australia and know what an Escalade is (i.e. not an escalator). My understanding is that it is like a model of 4x4 or SUV that Tiger Woods was driving when his wife found out he was cheating and started smashing it up with golf clubs while he was in it, leading to a crash and quite public police involvement. Immortalised by the song "Tiger Woods" by Steel Panther.

Been a minute since I've seen this movie but remember it being pretty good Gotta agree that people shouldn't change a person and plus lmao a lot of those things he got rid of would be worth a fortune now but at the time being a 'nerd' was more a hidden thing. Good movie and great reaction as always

Great movie. The scene with the wax is real :) Steve Carell did it for real and swears the all time that's why they all lough :) .The ending scene is a spoof on the movie "Hair" 1979. Fyi the song Believe it is originally from a 80s comedy superhero tv show called The Greatest American Hero It is a great tv show. Fyi The Health Clinic Counselor is Steve Caroll wife I think. . Another movie like this is There is something about Mary

17:43 You are very wrong, my dear. You would be shocked by the huge amount of guys and men in the same situation as this. 23:33 To me, this part in the car with the daughter is the best and most sincere moment of the whole movie.
