Minho was like, "did he say something about being sexy & subtle?" lmao I love how Minho always gets the long jackets or trench coats. Their stylist is always highlighting how tall and lean he is. Just like how Jonghyun rarely had sleeves if the concept allowed for it lol. Taemin needs jackets to immediately take off and throw on the stage.

You should also check out SHINee's performance of "Everybody" "Picasso" and "Stranger" at their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul. Yes, because "Everybody" was at their SHINee World 2014 and "Picasso" and "Stranger" were from their SHINee World 2016 concerts in Japan, what you just heard was the Japanese version of their songs, but if you watch the SWC4 performance you will get to hear the Korean versions. The MV for "Everybody" is also the Korean version of the song. SHINee debuted as Japanese artists in 2011 and they have Japanese versions of a majority of their songs, plus, tons of songs that are exclusively in Japanese. SHINee are one of the most popular artists in Japan. They are so popular that they are part of the mainstream music scene and most Japanese citizens don't even consider them foreign artists. They spend about 50% of their career in Japan, so they are fluent in Japanese and they have just as many Japanese albums and songs as they do Korean. Therefore, when SHINee holds a concert in Japan it's almost entirely in Japanese. They don't even need translators when they interact with the audience. SHINee are so popular as Japanese artists that they are one of the few acts that are actually asked by the Tokyo Dome concert promoters to hold another concert there. Most people have to ask to hold an event at the Tokyo Dome, but with SHINee, executives actually contact SM and ask them to please hold another event there. The Tokyo Dome is one of the largest concert venues in Japan, which holds 55,000 people, and there is an unwritten rule that in order to get permission to hold an event there you have to be able to fill it to capacity. SHINee are such big-name artists that they know they will have no problem selling out within minutes of tickets going on sale and most likely they will have to have multiple day events because fan demand will be so high. SHINee has even held fan meeting events at the Tokyo Dome that weren't even full concerts and were still able to sell out. Which just goes to show you, how popular they really are. If you remember, in "Everybody" SHINee are supposed to be toy soldiers and they get their energy and power from the fans. So all the moves and everything you see, including the way they are dressed, is supposed to remind you of how a toy soldier would look and move. Their fans power them up and that's why in the beginning they start by laying on the floor, because the fans' energy is what wakes them up and in the end (in the MV) they run out of energy and they disengage and fall back down to the floor to wait for Shawols to come and power them back up again. At one point in "Everybody" you see Minho give the members an energy boost by pulling Key's pull string, winding Jonghyun's windup key, using a defibrillator to jumpstart Taemin and activating Onew by turning him on with a remote control. In the middle of "Everybody", where they come together and create that picture in their dance, they are supposed to look like an airplane, that's why Onew spins his arms round really fast like the propeller of a plane. The plane has to do with the fact that they are soldiers and they are depicting a scene from a battle during the Korean War. As you can see, although Jonghyun is the main vocalist of SHINee and he is most often in charge of the high notes, in "Everybody" Jonghyun, Onew, Taemin and Key all have high notes at different moments in the song. That is what makes SHINee such an amazing group. Fun fact: As the fashionista of the group Key often collaborates with their stylists and comes up with their outfits for their concerts and MVs. Their outfits in the live performance of "Everybody" were designed by Key. If you look up the lyrics for "Picasso" you will see that they are talking about living in a Picasso-like world where everything is like an abstract and beautiful painting, etc. The song is a love song. It's a metaphor for how the girl they like is changing and transforming their world like a beautiful painting. Hence why the song is called "Picasso" because they are referencing the famous painter Picasso. And that is also why you see in their choreography they look like they move their hands and arms like they are painting a picture. And you haven't even really experienced "Stranger" unless you have seen their SWC4 in Seoul Korean version of "Stranger" as well. Fun fact No. 2: The SHINee World Concert 2016 in Japan had a live band, so not only are SHINee singing live, but the music is all live too. Yes, SHINee are known for their live performances. SHINee are considered one of the best concerts in the kpop industry. They literally perform nonstop and they are singing live the entire time while performing intense choreography like this for 3 hours straight. For example, this performance of "Picasso" was more than 2 1/2 hours into their almost 4 hour concert, and they perform just like this was the first song of the night. At this concert, "Picasso" was actually the last song in SHINee's rock 'n' roll set of songs which are super hype with a rock 'n' roll concert vibe, and full of intense choreography. This set started with their Japanese song " Wanted," and then without even skipping a beat they transition into their remixed rock Japanese version of "Lucifer," and then they go right into their rock-inspired song "Burning Up," and then they wrap up this set with "Picasso." And yet, when you watch them perform "Picasso" by itself, you would never know that they had just been going full out for more than 10 minutes before this without a single break, and they also had been performing for more than 2 hours prior to that. You should take the time to watch these whole concerts sometime, even if you can't react to the full thing -- watch it on your own sometime. :D You really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. All 3 of these performances had clothes designed by Key. He really understands the stage so well. And it's interesting how even if you don't like a song by them, you still end up loving the performances of that song cause they put their all in everything.

Everybody originally in their Korean MV but they included it in their Japanese Album in Japanese language. So the MV you reacted last time was Korean NV in Korean Language, and this is their Tokyo Dome Japanese concert thus they use the Japanese version of Everybody. Same thing for Picasso originally it’s released in their Japanese album but fan’s feedback requesting Picasso in Korean so they did it in Korean as well in the end. Sometimes they will have their famous songs in both Korean and Japanese. But not all their songs are the same. The songs in album for Korean and Japanese not 100% same thus you need to check out both albums, they both are great but have different vibe to fit Japanese & Korean market respectively.

Yes and Stranger was originally a Japanese song too firstly released with their 'The First' full Japanese album in 2011 and then re-released in Korean in 2012 with the 'Sherlock' mini album.

Picasso is from their Japanese album titled “I’m Your Boy” and it’s an amazing album. Definitely missing out on some amazing bangers. Shinee has one specific segment that is infamous within the fandom and it’s their opening section from their Shinee World Concert IV. It features a rearranged version of Sherlock, Shine (another great bside), Stranger, and Picasso. That’s my favorite performance of stranger. Also, the 2016 version of Picasso is my personal favorite, but the performance from SWC IV is special bc Shinee specifically translated the song to Korean and performed it there because so many fans loved the song. That’s also the thing with Shinee, they’re all basically fluent in Japanese that they’ve translated most of their songs to Japanese for their J-shawols. When they perform in SK and anywhere else, they’ll perform their songs in Korean, but in Japan they perform them in Japanese. Multilingual KINGS. Another thing to mention since you pointed out you liked their costumes (the white ones during Everybody), Key actually designed those. He’s been a creative director since 2015 and has been helping design Shinee’s concert outfits ever since.

The SHINee power of turning a song you're not sure you like into one you love by seeing the live performance version!! Everybody (from Everybody album) is originally Korean but they have a Japanese version (from I'm Your Boy album) which is the one they performed at the Tokyo Dome. Picasso (from I'm Your Boy album) and Stranger (from The First album) are both originally Japanese but there are also Korean versions (Picasso Korean live and studio versions are in the SWC4 album, Stranger is in Sherlock album). My personal favorite album is their Odd/MTTM (repackage) album! I don't have a SHINee song that I hate and I've heard their entire discography but there are definitely some songs I like less than others. Or songs that I have to be in just the right mood for to listen to. JINKI IN LEATHER PANTS!!!! Austin: "You're in a Walmart... and these 5 leather clad men are walking towards you... what do you do?" My take on SHINee's albums: - The Story of Light trilogy - filled with deep house, edm and "sad bops to listen on the club" type of songs with some really beautiful ballads in between (I Say). - 1 of 1/1 and 1 - retro 90s pop, sexy synth and base, more of a chill vibe. - Odd/Married do the Music - my favorite album! To me it's the perfect bland of the several sounds that make SHINee's whole discography. If you have a very eclectic tastes and like variety in a album... this is the one for you. - The Misconceptions Of Us - more of the electronic vibe/brand that made f(x) discography but by SHINee (funky), it does have some horror elements so I'm not sure if it will be your favorite. It's dark, hype and melancholy all at the same time. It's is their more experimental album. Has some of my favorite ballads from them: Selene 6.23 and Sleepless Night. - Lucifer/Hello - The transition album to me. A lot of RnB elements from their first/debut album (plus some Yoo Young-jin's influences) but also some eletronics and dark elements that are going to be more present in the Misconception's series. Best Showcase for Jonghyun's vocals! He dominates this album, in my opinion. - The First/SHINee World - Heavy on RnB with a lot of Yoo Young-jin's influences (sm producer and vocal director) so... expect a lot of silly and nonsensical lyrics (especially in the rap) but a great showcase of SHINee's harmonies and vocal promise. Lots of heartbreak ballads too. On what album you should start... I don't like to recommend reactions because I think the mood in which you are in is the best judge of what you should listen to. So I hope some of my descriptions can help you decide. As always, love the content and keep it coming!

Stranger is such a hype song, Jjong slayed that note. He also performed his solo song here so yes I agree with the other comments, you should also check out the solo stages in the concert if you could. SHINee always make me happy too.

Not the Walmart scenario 😭. Okay but I honestly think the reason why Shinee live performances will always be a 100% better than their studio tracks is because they mostly do their concerts with a live band. And it ALWAYS hits harder. I'm Your Boy Tokyo Dome 2014 will always be my favourite Shinee concert. They just all looked amazing, especially Jinki good lord, the setlist was amazing, the stage set were mind-blowing, and the solo stages were just *chef's kiss*. I suggest watching Lucifer from the same concert next time. I always get goosebumps every time I watch that performance. For less chaotic camera work I suggest that you always try to watch the Japanese dvd versions for every performances if you can or if there's any. Japanese concerts always have better and cleaner camera work and idk why lol but it's the case for almost all dvds of kpop groups especially Soshi.

I find Shinee's japanese albums very fun and upliftling. More rocky or punky sounds mixed in, some very musical theatre happy songs and pretty ballads. Even though is not my favorite, in honor of "Picasso" I'm rambling about "I'm your boy" album. Lately I'm loving "365" . I adore "bounce" and i'm always surprised by how good "colors of the seasons" is. Many of the songs seem super silly at first but there's something about all their pretty voices that makes me not only get energy from the songs but also sincerily like them.

I enjoyed your reaction so much! Stranger is such an iconic song. The fact that is a B-side and the fandom did a fanchant for the concerts shows how legendary is for SHINee World and SHINee. I'm looking forward to your SHINee album reactions. They have my favorite discography ever, all great songs. Maybe you can do it from the newest to older. The Story of Light, 1 of 1 and 1 and 1 (repackage) can be your next ones but I recommend all of their albums honestly, I can't pick a favorite. That being said the Misconceptions series is very iconic. Dream Girl, Why So Serious and Misconceptions of Us (repackage) are amazing.

I am a fan of your SHINee reactions! The end of the "I am your boy" concert is so cute. It was the first concert in such a large venue. At the end, they sing a feel good ballad and Shawols gave them a surprise that made them cry. Most clips only have the song but if you watch the whole concert you will see the song plus 3-4 extra minutes with their emotional reaction. Other legendary stages are SW4 Corea. The intro with Replay. and then Sherlock-Shine-Stranger (korean version)

Everybody wasn’t a fave for me, either until I saw this performance. TOTALLY changed my view of the song and I no longer skipped it in my playlist. You nailed it when you said it was iconic! It was in Japanese in deference to their audience.

My favorite shinee album is 1of1. mostly because it's so sexy. it's their most sexiest album imo. But you got to see the SWC 4 version of Stranger. They were more ruthless there.
