I think Arthur is in serious denial of his feelings for Noée. I think it’s because he still doesn’t fully accept himself as deaf and he still others her. I do think he loves Alexia, but their relationship feels so surface level to me. They never actually talk about stuff they just hang out and have sex. He never opens up to her or shows vulnerability with her. And at this point it feels like he’s committed to staying with her more out of guilt/not wanting to be like his dad more than anything else. Especially when Alexia needs constant reassurance, she’s spoken about her insecurities numerous times, fears he will find someone else, saying she’s scared for them. And Arthur doesn’t want to do exactly what she’s afraid of. It’s sad because I see Arthur and Alexia as a typical high school relationship that is just two people who hook up bc they’re in the same friend groups and hang out a lot but it’s not a lasting love. Arthur and Noée could be something really special, but idk of Arthur is ready for that. 😔

Arthur opened up to Noee without being asked, Alexia had to force it out of him, several times. Both Arthur and Noee have similiar pronlems, they can relate on a deeper level than two high schoolers that are attracted to each other. The connection is really different, as someone who just came out of high school. Real connections and high school connections whether its love or platonic are distinctly different, and I just feel it that Alexia and Arthur aren’t more than that. Noee even spoke to Arthur to show he was important to her, Arthur didn’t have to force it out of her like she was forced to before when she had a cochlear. I just think Arthur doesn’t a) want to be the kind of guy who loves two people and has to choose and look shitty b) want things to change. like i loved my ex girlfriend when i broke up with her but I wasnt in love with her and I was afraid to break up with her and not have that connection anymore even though I didnt want to be in a romantic relationship, and c) want to be like his father in anyway now that he just learned about the affair.

I totally see where you are coming from. high school love and love after high school are so different. I do feel Arthur lives two different lifes, his high school life ( his gf, friends, etc) and his life outside of it ( the deaf community, noee, etc)
