I feel like 2024 was overall a really great year for horror. I hope it keeps up with 2025. There are so many books nominated and not that I want to read.

I didn't realize I Was a Teenage Slasher was a new release. It makes sense since I've seen it on display at the library for a while now. Been meaning to read it since I've recently become a fan. I need to get into his longer fiction, I've only read two of his novellas.

Unfortunately they don't nominate books with an average rating lower than 3.5, otherwise it would have for sure been in there :/

@hellamilles4419 yes, so unfortunate, I think more people would appreciate it in the future. It's the same case as with the Pallbearers club, also one of my favorites and also rated pretty low on Goodreads.

Disappointed but not surprised to see Stephen King in there. I haven't read anything from him in quite a while but still. And genuinely surprised Haunting of Velkwood didn't get nominated. I was under the impression everyone was really loving that one.
