Of course the fear of brazilians in social media helped Fernanda's campaign hahaha but the movie is an art piece and Fernanda's performance is truly amazing, really well deserved! Also it's good when the world remembers that Brazil exists and has 220 million people. hahaaha Other than that, Emilia Pérez should not compete as a foreign film. Practically an american production competing with underdogs

Culkin is cringey, he wont win anymore....the substance was a cute lil horror movie, not award worthy tho for demi...alas conclave was zzzzz....e perez was merely ok....delighted sebastian beat hugh!...yay flow.....lovely that angelina j. lost....anora will win awards from more respected award shows.

If most of the industry thought Culkin was cringey, he wouldn’t have swept tv awards for Succession last year. He’s probably gonna win in most places except maybe BAFTA. Agree about Anora to a degree. I think it’ll get wins in other places, but those wins might just be Original Screenplay and lead actress for Mikey Madison in a couple places. I don’t think it’s the kind of front runner we’ve all thought it was for months. Brutalist is on the rise at the perfect time and I think it’ll have a hard time slowing down
