There is a lot of "haha Suga acts like a badass but he's actually a fluffball". This man was half dead for this performance and he has performed for years with what he describes as a "crushed shoulder" with little to no complaint, at least from what ARMY is permitted to see. Not to mention battling anxiety and depression just to go on stage where he belongs. This man is a literal badass. It's a bonus that he's also a fluffball. But he is a badass first. Period.

I literally just rocked it out to Cypher 2 in the shower tonight. I was only able to rap a few words of the song that were easy to say. Like one word at the end of a few parts. I haven’t even bothered to rap during Suga’s part. He’s my bias so I just listen to his “tongue technology.”

If korean isn't your language, it's a process. Tbh, there are 3 songs I know the words to. After a whole 14 months of listening to only BTS, but when I listen to english covers of those songs, the korean lyrics are what I sing. Those are such beautiful moments in my life. Their music and art trancends everything I've ever seen before. Yoongi is my bias, too. And Jin and Hobi are his wreckers. I'm sorry. I'm rambling... I just have no one to talk about bts to here...

Before I met BTS, I wasn't a fan of RAP, more than Mike Shinoda's in Linkin Park, but when I met BTS they made me love their RAP. It is a complete art to my ears.

just a fyi bts diss songs are not only directed to underground rappers and nameless haters like kpop fandoms/keyboard warriors but also to other idols who look down on them or people in the music industry in general who looked down on them. its all generalized meaning its at collectively all of the haters but people still need to acknowledge the different groups of haters because too many like to say its ONLY the underground rappers when thats not the case. also the hawaii line is as direct as it gets thats directed at b free the guy who called them girls in that video clip. he grew up in hawaii so they told him to go home. but other than him the rest is at all the haters collectively. also for the part where jhope says "yeah im from korea so all you bastards who rap in english see whos on top of you now" is actually wrongly translated its supposed to be "yeah my country is korea so all you bastards who rap in sloppy english look whos on top of you now" he was talking about korean rappers who rap in english to fit in or korean rappers who add english words to look cool not because it fits within the song and theyre imitating words used in english like slang at least thats how i understood it cause hes not talking about english speaking rappers cause bts look up to many american rappers for example so that wouldnt make sense. heres two different versions of the lyric one from doolset and one from another website called muish ramblings doolset :All those rap pigeons babbling sloppy English should look 만식이 (mansigi) is an old slang that has been used in clothing markets by shop owners. Customers who know nothing of the ways of the market (prices, how to negotiate, etc.) and are therefore extremely gullible are called 만식이. muish : Right, in my country Korea, those who blab sloppy English rap Look at those rap imitators, see who is on top of you, What. (I used the word “imitators”…. but he uses the word “mansik” here. This is a slang for men who hang out at clubs, often all wearing the same trendy clothes with no originality, trying to get girls.)

Yeah, the cyphers are insane. Cypher 3 is my personal favorite, and yes it is the one with that very.... rude yoongi verse in it. Your should watch a live of that one 👀 either on or off camera it's worth it. Jhopes adlibs are really good in the cypher 3 lives too.

Namjoon is my bias wrecker and he raps like this a lot. Some BTS songs - The Cyphers, Ddaeng, Look Here, Ugh, Tear, Her, Bullet Proof pt 2 (these are some of my faves but he has many). His solo songs - Joke & Do You. Namjoon's rap is legendary. I definitely recommend you checking out his solo stuff. I love all of the rap line but for me Namjoon's rap is my favourite. He has an extremely good flow and can get his words out very fast and very clearly. He has amazing articulation. 💜

Ah this Cypher Live is amazing keep in mind poor Suga was sick and running a fever, you can’t hear he’s mildly stuffed up and if you compare to other Cypher performances he’s at like 75% but still absolutely insane. They all are live, like how??

It's funny that we think J-Hope is so innocent and its weird when he swears, when actually the Bangtan members have all said/hinted that J-Hope swears the most. You can even hear it sometimes when he's surprised and forgets he's on camera; he'll slip a little bit and then censor himself. When you watch In The Soop 2 he gets really surprised and then apparently goes on a swearing rant for minutes and then is embarrassed afterwards for letting that side of him show. J-Hope has the strongest persona of the group I think and he's good at keeping his private side private. Not saying he isn't genuine -- he's so genuine but he's also in "on" mode a lot and his professionalism is next level. I have a lot of respect for him and think he is well adjusted, from the amount we get to see anyway.

Thanks for reaction Lex I really love Cyphers but my fav is Cypher 4. The way RM rides the beat is so tasty and he has so many different flows on the tip of his tongue -- I think we are all so impressed by other aspects of him that people often forget that BTS was created around RM because Bang PD was impressed by his musical skill. His musical talent came first, not anything else He's extremely versatile and is wholly unafraid of using his voice in unexpected but delicious ways...if you pay attention carefully, I guarantee you will hear RM making all sorts of ad libs in your favorite BTS tracks you would have never expected from him. And I don't really put much in stock by "kpop positions" but RM was main rapper, suga and jhope were lead rappers (under him) and JK and sub-rapper, back in the day. I hope you get to enjoy seeing all the different sides all the boys have to offer in their craft...I guarantee they haven't stopped surprising you!
