Hey GJ! Finally here at Gears 3! "Brothers to the end." So Epic. The song from the "Ashes to Ashes" trailer is called "Heron Blue" by Sun Kil Moon. I highly recommend listening to the entire song. It is quite haunting and fits the Gears asthetic so well! Like the other Gears trailers, it introduced me to a song and performers I might have never discovered on my own!

Gears of War 3 is probably the heaviest game, story-wise. It is super dark even compared to the first two. You're in for an emotional roller coaster!

Gears of War 3 was undoubtedly the most emotional of the original trilogy. The first trailers and the emphasis on the phrase "Brothers to the end" is evident of it. I wasn't ready for everything that happened in the story as a kid 😂

Brings back so much memories of rewatching the trailers many times since the game was delayed a whole year and a month after I preordered it but damn the wait was very much worth it. Gears of war 3 is such an amazing game right up there with gears or war 2. Any gears of wars after 3 where pretty good at best...

the ashes to ashes trailer is kinda like mad world at the start, the second trailer is the journey from gears one to 3 you can see RAMM at the start for but a moment!

ok i thought i'd drop you some info about GOW 3, no spoilers just letting you know background info about some of the new people you will be meeting: Cpl Jace Stratton: now Jace was technically in GOW 2 but only very briefly...he had like 2 lines of dialogue with Marcus he helped invade the Hollow along with many other squads. Jace will be a more major character in this game. Clayton "Clay" Carmine: Clay is the oldest of four Carmine brothers and is supposedly the most badass of the four. I guess we'll find out if he survives this (unlike his younger brothers, RIP Ben n Anthony). Anya Stroud: Now we know Anya already but due to the changes that have occurred in the story Anya has now taken up a frontline Gear role, so she will be fighting alongside Marcus n the others. Samantha "Sam" Byrne: Sam is from Kaskur (i think that is the name of the area) and the people of that region kind of sound a little like New Zealanders or maybe South African. Her father fought in the Pendulum Wars against other Humans like many others but he died. She was named after him cause he was called Samuel Byrne. Bernadette "Bernie" Mataki: I can't even stress how important Bernie is to backstory. She is a veteran officer of the Gears and professional in survival and expert sniper. She trained marcus, Dom and Dom's brother Carlos among many others before E-Day. However more importantly she is one of only two people in the whole story who SAW how Carlos Santiago died (the other being Marcus). All this is explained in one of the books, the games don't really cover it sadly. Bernie is eventually the one who reveals to Dom how Carlos died (at least i'm pretty sure that is right). anyway there is no game spoilers here...don't worry. hope you enjoy GOW 3...you're in for a fun ride.

That first trailer is when I knew Dom was going to die in Gears 3. The man just didn't want to keep going anymore, and it's hard to blame him. The whole game I was dreading that moment. With the original trilogy I think 2 was by far the best when it comes to story and campaign... But 4 and 5 were very close.. Make sure when watching a trailers for gears 4. Watch all or most of them they are incredibly well done.. As with gears 3 very excited to see your reactions.
