But also, he’s FAKING all of it. He had already admitted years ago that he and Heidi were actually just very close friends and it was more of a brother-sister-esque relationship. But it was producers that thought their hot and cold relationship would make good TV because Justin refused to ham it up for the camera so Audrina’s reactions to his blasé attitude always helped push the narrative. Kristin also admit (I think barely a year after it ended) that neither she and Justin, nor she and Brody ever really rekindled their romance, and Jayde even admitted that they became friends when they met. I think ultimately this was the biggest failure and downfall of the show. When producers were simply manipulating behind the scenes and editing a certain way for seasons 2-4. It was much easier to suspend disbelief, but season 5 became so heavily produced and “written” that it was way too obvious.

I think I both loathed and admired her. Loathed cause of the indoctrination of only one girl at a time having the space to shine, which meant that girls like her would always get that spotlight and girls like me would never get it. Admired cause of the confidence and independence she had at that age, when most of us (at least me!) were quite insecure and dependent on what other people thought of us. There is definitely still sides to her that aren't great, but all of us have dark sides. That's kind of the fascinating thing about people, nobody's 100% good or 100% bad. Also, LOVE this cultmunity!! 😍

Kristin was by far the most decent! Audrina said so many false things about Kristin just because she was jealous. Kristin tried to give her a chance to tell the truth about her being stuck on Justin which was very respectful but Justin and Audrina don't understand honesty and being clear. Audrina seems to think being rude and angry is equal to telling the truth. Kristin handled these 2 very well and in reasonable way.

So during S2 of Laguna Beach, Kristen dated that football player at USC who went on to join the NFL, and then a couple of boyfriends later Kristen and Brody dated. It was roughly during filming for season 1 of The Hills. During the year ish that they dated, Heidi and Kristen were friends and she asked Kristen to find her a boyfriend, so Kristen told her boyfriend at the time (Brody) that she was looking to hook her friend up with a guy and Brody thought his best friend Spencer would be a good fit, and so she introduced Heidi & Spencer, which is how they originally met. Shortly thereafter Spencer started appearing on the show - first at the end of S1, and then became a regular in S2. As for Kristen and Brody rekindling their relationship in the end of S5 and into S6 - that was completely fake. Him and Jayde really did date for a decent amount of time, but broke up and then during filming for S6, I believe Brody was with Avril Lavigne. Him and Kristin dated waayy before she was on the show. Anyway that is the Kristin dating timeline!
