Justin Fields! Please bring in someone with the same type of skillset! Both years the backup was a completely different type of QB! Let’s get fields so we can keep the same type of offense regardless of who is starting!

Watch some Jaxson Dart highlights. He would fit flawlessly into our offensive scheme. He can run rpos Clearly more accurate than AR 4200 yards 29 tugs last year Would push AR And when AR misses his 8-10 games as per usual We have a young guy coming in We need to keep drafting QBs don’t know why we stuck with Ehlinger We gotta keep taking swings

Thinking he needs competition is telling me he isn't a motivated player. Bring in Peyton as a mentor. He needs someone that will bust his ass and not take any sh*t .

Just watched the 2006 Colts Superbowl season on Steve Sabol's NFL Films, to hear Bill Polian again talk about the Players he built that team with and what he wanted out of them with competitive fire, smart and the ability to work on the details of their position was refreshing compared to Ballard, watching them thru the games that season and all the players they had do their job reminds me this current Colts team is light years behind that team!!!! Damn what a ride those Colts seasons were!!!

Justin Fields is great competition for AR. A sleeper would be to draft Dillon Gabriel to push AR also. Check out his college highlights.

The New England Patriots QB Joe Milton completed 22 of 29 passes for 241 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in their last game. In the last Combine, QB Joe Milton tied the record football passing speed at passing the football 62mph. He is a rookie and presently a backup quarterback.

Would love to see us bring in either another young and unproven QB with high potential (e.g. Zach Wilson or Justin Fields) or a veteran who still has a few viable years left (e.g. Geno Smith or Derek Carr).

Thanks for pointing out that Richardson is an adult and needs to be held accountable. No more excuses. I predicted since he was drafted he would be a bust. He is exactly what I thought he would be.

I checked the advanced passing statistics, and it turns out ARs drop% is right in line with all the elite QBs in the league at around 4.8%. So the notion that our WRs drops are killing his comp% is complete BS! He just flat out sucks as noted by his 28% bad throw %, which is about 55% worse than the elite guys.

Justin fields all the way. My issue with everyone else is if they are trying to build a Lamar/Jalen offense, why would they bring in someone who is more pocket-ish? Fields needs a real home and could push AR into how to play the style his skill set up is built for.

Thanks for the coverage, guys. I think what drives me crazy about Richardson is the bar is set so painfully low for him, that if he even completes a pass or scores on a drive, the Colts and media will rave about the oozing potention. Let's not forget he was the 4th pick in the NFL Draft. I would bet ANY QB on an NFL roster could complete a nice pass once in awhile or lead a scoring drive. So take the two games often cited, the Jets game and Patriots game. These are two of the worst teams in the NFL, record wise. So Richardson does it more with his legs than his arm, but does complete a few passes. He did make the 2 point conversation on a pass. Ok, now compare that to Bo Nix, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels. CJ Stroud, Caleb Williams, and even Bryce Young. Heck, throw Will Levis in there. I have heard many reports the Titans are done with Levis, which is their call. But he has thrown more TDs than interceptions and has completed 61% of his passes. So it is like EVERY QB drafted the last two years outpaces Richardson, yet we keep talking about him like he flashes this brillance. Levis threw 4 TDs in his first start. Was that brilliance? And then I hear these excuses like he needs weapons. He needs a TE. Come on. Minshew and Flacco seem to find the receivers okay. If Richardson were like a 2nd or 3rd round pick, we would be saying we are done with him. Look at Ehlinger. Started ONE game in a terrible situation and has never seen the field since. So I want to see some REAL competition at QB. And please don't say Justin Fields. Fields is a bit more advanced Richardson. More of a runner, not real accurate. Why would we think he would be good with us. We need a QB who is an accurate decision maker first and mobility a bonus. My hope is to draft a guy like Jaxson Dart or Kurtis Rourke and\or bring in someone like Carr if we could get him cheap. But no more inaccurate, running QBs. Please!

Russel Wilson? Would actually help him learn to be a pro. Flacco had no interest in helping him at all. Or straight up competition only with Fields or even trade for Joe Milton? Milton is like the same player. Honestly I hope we just suck enough to get Arch Manning on this roster somehow in the future. Sincerely, A depressed Colts fan

Let me add this as well. When Colts talk about accountability. What does it say when Chris Ballard preaches competition and the best person will play, regardless of if and when they were drafted. Yet, after playing ONE series in his first preseason game, Steichen announces Richardson is the starter?? What did he do to earn that? Why does every other player have to compete to play, and it is just handed to him? And what does it say for a team that had Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck and even Philip Rivers as leaders, to say your QB has to be sat down because he isn't being a professional? Come on, Colts!! Minshew isn't great, but he is better than Richardson. Flacco is better than Richardson. Hell, I would go as far to say that Ehlinger could probably run the offense better than Richardson if given a chance. He can at least complete short passes. I think MUCH of the Colts issues is how to coddle Richardson and everyone knows it.

Lets trade for HENDON HOOKER out of Detroit. Would fit right in with Shane's RPO sets. If he hadn't have gotten injured during his senior senior, he could have gone ahead of AR in the draft. Could probably get him for a 3rd round pick or maybe a conditional 2nd.

Colts gonna have another average season in 2025 leading to Ballard, Steichen, and AR being let go. In 2026, we have a new GM, Coach, and some random QB off the streets. We’ll have the worst record and then draft Archie.

Richardson should be playing somewhere over the summer but the NFL doesn't have that. In MLB you get sent down to the minors. In the NBA you might go down to league 'X'. Colts in 2025 isn't going to be any better. Is Steichen going to magically be a better HC in the off season?
