As someone who loves to cook, I don't think there's anything weird about rubbing seasoning into meat. It's actually quite satisfying to watch. But then the guy starts tapping and caressing a stuffed watermelon, and I get it now. I understand the sense of unease. These videos are still fantastic.

As someone that tracks macros, sometimes you just want to eat something that can up whatever one you're low on (fats, carbs, proteins). So because they generally, for average sized white and brown whole eggs have about 6 grams of protein, they can be a quick fill. So I have bought hard boiled eggs before just to meet markers LMAO but not very tasty.

Yep ostrich is totally a legal meat. I've seen ostrich dog food and treats! People in the US do farm ostrich and emu so that ostrich likely came from a farm that breeds for meat/eggs. I'd love to try it tbh, I wanna try a lot of meats. Like...people breed bison here too, it's really fascinating. And then you can eat it. Bison is decent.

South African here! Ostrich meat is pretty common here and most supermarkets stock it, as well as ostrich burger patties and mincemeat. It's pretty gamey and definitely not for everyone.

yes, ostrich meat is red. it's actually considered the healthiest of red meats. it also tastes pretty good. haven't had any in years, doesn't seem like it's commonly sold as much anymore. it's not that different from beef or horse tbh

I was a line cook for like a decade. Made a lot of tomahawk steaks and wild game. To answer your question, it's totally normal to rub raw meat with seasonings thoroughly and the more thorough you are, the better it'll taste. However 😂 This guy does seem to be a little extra. 😂 Side note-- my guess with the tower is if you cook it out in the water, you won't have a forest fire risk

I do a lot of foraging in my spare time, and sometimes half assedly live off the land. If youd like I could send you some different varieties of wild mushrooms to cook and review, I could also send some recipes I like to use for each type. Just an idea, but let me know if your interested. you can also buy foraged mushrooms at most any grocery store or from any local forager. Mushrooms are easier to start with than meat for cooking in the wilds.

I work in a kitchen that feeds college athletes and we have to be very clean and do proper work (Not like fast food lol) and I will say that the way he rubs that meat is horrible lmao. We have to be fast because the way we cook is mass production because we run a bistro / buffet, but even at home when I'm taking my time I don't season meat THAT slowly and intimately. Like it's WEIRD. I was getting creeped out too, don't worry lol.
