Olympic boxing is considered amateur leagues because they wear headgear. Professionals only use headgear during practice and sparring. There are a couple of Olympic boxers that have gone professional but they tend to be in the rule heavy lower league where if you get two knockdowns in a round then the match is ended.

I'm not even religious and even I thought the opening ceremony was a disgrace. If you don't like religion that's fine, but there's no reason to mock people who do. One of the great things about living in a free country is that you're allowed to like and enjoy something that not everyone else might like or enjoy. But there's a certain group of people who have decided that they have the right to try and tell others what they should or shouldn't like. It's the same group of people who say they are against oppression, yet all they do is try to oppress peoples rights of free speech or freedom of religion.

@@lalitabyrd4182 The girl in the middle literally put out tweets during rehearsals referring to it as the last supper. Then after the public uproar they came out and lied saying it was about Dionysus as some sort of damage control. That girl also deleted her tweets where she referred to it as the last supper. Not to mention the olympics are doing everything they can to remove all traces of it from the internet. They've removed it from all their social media and they're copyright claiming anyone who posts it. That's the act of someone who got caught doing something wrong and is trying to cover it up. I'm going to be honest with you Lav Luka this Moon channel is honestly just plain boring and repetitive, he basically just makes the same "everything is getting worse" video about anything even remotely controversial. Its like he could go deeper on the topics he talks about, but he just doesn't and just lists a bunch of headlines and cherry-picked statements from news articles (which he doesn't cite). I mean for goodness sake some of his longest videos that are an hour long are were made in a week or two, that is not enough time to make a video essay that long without it being rough draft level writing. He's like one or two steps away from being an AI generated slop channel.

Does Jesus want testicles in front of a childs face and on display for an all ages audience across the world? You do know they were INTENTIONALLY mocking and disrespecting Christians when they did The Last Supper, right? They were trying to offend people. Christians don't have to be happy, agreeable and tolerant of everything, especially when people are going above and beyond to mock god. Supposedly the "Last Supper Parody" is actually a parody of a painting of a Dionysian bachanal in some French museum. @@lalitabyrd4182 Well the painting to which I'm referring has Dionysius in front of the dining table like the tableau. I'm not sure whether it or DaVinci's is older but it hardly matters. Christian imagery doesn't include a Greek god or gods. I spent a few minutes rechecking the painting to which I referred above and found "“Does this painting remind you of something?” the Magnin Museum in the French city of Dijon asked (with a wink) on X, inviting people to “come and admire” The Feast of the Gods, painted by the artist Jan van Bijlert between 1635 and 1640." DaVinci's painting was supposedly painted in 1498 so maybe it was van Bijlert mocking Christianity.

Here is the most understandable elucidation of the boxing controversy I've read--and note that it has to do with more than one "condition" and also that it's probably erroneous to compare the various similar controversies without going into the details of the person and their "condition". It's from Colin Wright, an "evolutionary biologist", as published by the WSJ: "(Different Sexual Development) DSDs can prevent a person who is genetically male from developing male physical traits. One is Swyer syndrome, which occurs when the SRY gene on the Y chromosome, which directs male development, is missing or inactive. Without this gene, the body can’t develop testes. Instead, the gonads remain undifferentiated. No testes means no testosterone production, so the fetus develops female internal and external anatomy. The lack of testosterone also prevents male puberty, a process that confers masculine features and a physical advantage in sports. Given Imane Khelif’s masculine features and upper-body muscle mass, we can almost certainly rule out Swyer syndrome. Another possibility is complete or partial androgen insensitivity syndrome, known respectively as CAIS or PAIS. Persons with this condition have XY chromosomes, develop normal testes, and produce male levels of testosterone. But their cells have defective androgen receptors that respond poorly if at all to testosterone. People with complete androgen insensitivity exhibit a totally female external presentation, despite being biologically male. Given Imane Khelif’s androgynous appearance, complete androgen insensitivity can be ruled out. Partial androgen insensitivity is a possibility. Individuals with PAIS undergo a partial male puberty, which confers physical advantages in sports, justifying their exclusion from the female category. The most probable DSD for Imane Khelif is 5-alpha reductase deficiency, or 5-ARD. People with 5-ARD have XY chromosomes and testes that produce testosterone. But because of a gene mutation affecting the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, their testosterone can’t be converted to dihydrotestosterone, which is essential for developing male genitals. People with 5-ARD, though biologically male, are born with female-appearing or ambiguous external genitals, leading to potential misidentification as female at birth. Many with 5-ARD are raised as girls, only discovering their condition at puberty when their internal testes trigger male puberty. This results in masculine features and a physical advantage over women in sports." My own opinion is that only XX physiologically normal females should be allowed to compete against each other in sports where physical bulk and strength matter.

@@MrCoreyCW1 TL;DR: that stuff leaves an impress on kids and lgbtq doing an opening with the scenery similar to "last supper" can be viewed as a mocking tone to Christians. By any means, anything can be considered as "art". But, the point is that many had young children watching the olympic opening, letting your child see a bunch of gay homosexual man doing sexual dances can leave a generally impressionable mind with confusion or questions they may not be ready to fully understand or process, leaving them obviously more curious on a topic that shouldn't be learnt at a young age, in turn possibly creating an new ideology in the minds of young adolescents. Literal kids who learn about LGBTQIA+ before multiplication and division. Additionally, the tone of the opening is obviously set to replicate the scenery of the "Last Supper", an extremely important piece of art to Christianity, which then is filled with men and women doing sexual movements and wearing sexual clothing; conveying an entirely divergent message from the one in the "Last Supper". Many Christians do not fully support the LGBQTIA+ community, meaning that if you show a group of people of LGBTQIA+, whose ethos is about supporting same gender relationships, gender switching, no gender, etc., in the setting similar to the one of the "Last Supper" to groups of Christians (or anyone else) whose doctrine emphasizes staying true to one's biological gender and believing in only heterosexual relationships, then there's obviously going to be a problem.
