I'd put SGA at #4, Tatum at #5, Embiid at #6, and Curry at #8 SGA is #2 in the MVP race right now and his team is one of the Title contenders, period. In JT's case, I know some people would argue that Tatum is on a loaded team, and he doesn't put up crazy numbers like Luka/Embiid/Jokic, but then again, they put Kawhi, someone who is more fragile, gave less impressive numbers, and on an equally loaded team, in front of him, which is kinda insane to think of. And what's even crazier is that, Curry is putting up numbers equal to JT this year on a mediocre Warriors team that sits at the bottom of the play-in section, and he's still considered top 5, 3 spots above JT, which is an outright joke if you ask me.

JT wants to be like Kobe and put up Kobe numbers. He’s said this MANY MANY times. He’s putting himself on such high standards that critics have to put those same standards on him. If Kobe had this team he wouldn’t put on JT numbers. He would be putting up even better numbers. So it’s more if the fact that he’s put on such high standards that he’s been disappointing. Not to undermine how good he is, imo he’s a solid 7-8 in league (including an Embiid if not injured). With Kawhi he’s putting up better efficiency plus he’s only missed a few games, so it’s been his healthiest season for a few years. His defense is better then JT. Plus he’s getting up in age fr. With Curry he’s been playing since TVs were in black n white, so him being mid 30s he’s ancient. It’s super impressive that him being so old he can still play like this. Most top25 all time were not doing curry numbers at his age, so it’s more impressive then if JT did it at the age of 26. Luka/ Shai/ Embiid/ Giannis/ Jokic are just having better seasons (maybe not Embiid now because of an injury, but my god pre injury you have to be on literal crack to think JT was playing better). And honestly KD lowkey might even be better then JT right now tbh, but imo they are having similar seasons as they are both on paper a top 5 team in the league plus KD 10 years older so it’s again much more impressive. If JT wants to really be a top 5 player he actually needs to be like Kobe and not playing pretend if he wants to actually be on that high of a standard. Kobe a top 10 player all time, so if you wanna be like that you gotta go beyond what he’s putting up now simple as that

Bro curry at top 5 is ok, I dont think he has gotten much worse from 2022 to now, and he, unlike sga, has proved himself in the playoffs. I think anywhere from 4-7 is resonable, u could put sga and kawhi above him if u prefer kawhi in the playoffs, and if u think sga is straight up a much better player, but u could also put him above embiid cause embiid always finds a way to choke. I dont think tatum is better than him cause his celtics are always the best team in the nba on paper but they always end up losing to a "worst team", like the 23 heat or the 22 warriors

@@kagamiuchiha5837 In a way JT is more like 06-08 Kobe this year, putting more effort into facilitator and playmaker roles, letting teammates perform first and only taking over the game when he's with the secondary squad or his teammates struggle. That's really the maturity you wanna see from the leader of a championship caliber team, him and Joker are the only two guys that give me this type of vibe this year.

Also, the only time Celtics arguably had the best squad in the league was last year. Yet because they were always reaching Conference Finals, people just assume that they have the best squad all the time, which they actually don't. In 2020, they were very short-handed. Daniel Theis is their only big man in the rotation. Gordon Hayward went out after G1 of 1st round, and they had to play a 6-man rotation throughout the majority of that playoff, as Brad Wanamaker being their 6th guy. In 2022, they were a 50% team during the first 30 games of the season, and were at once the 11th seed in the East. Pre-season Championship Odds put them at 13th in the league, predicting them winning 45.5 games during regular season. It was actually a story of them being a black horse, turning around the situation and beating some of the toughest opponents in the East in every Playoff rounds. Yet people just ignore all that and assume that they had an amazing squad from the beginning, which is not right and really disrespectful.

Nah this list does not reflect on this season at all. How on earth can you put Curry over SGA, even Embiid knowing that he is injured. Also 6 players from Twolves seems crazy to me compared to 3 from OKC and Clippers, at least Lu Dort and Westbrook should be there around 90th place. Sabonis not being in top 10 is just a sad joke atm for me, dude is leading the league in rebounds, triple-doubles and is having the best season of his career.

Even their stats and efficiency are pretty similar. Paolo’s just surrounded by a much better team and has a better coach. And Cade’s a better passer but Paolo’s a better defender.

Already the list is ridiculous with Conley being like 90 something- he’s like the 20th best player in the league. Hartenstein at like 90 is also too low. CJ McCollum and Myles turner way too low. Jarett Allen way way way way too low. Wemby is top 20. Dame is way way too high- such an overrated player and sabonis is too low along with Porziņģis- both way better than their ranking. Dejounte Murray way too high . I don’t even know how to do OG Anunoby: his defense is awesome. He was really helping the Knicks win but the stats don’t appreciate that very well- no clue SGA could be number one- number six is kind of ridiculous. He’s a clear top three player.
