You’re wrong about gold. All currencies, throughout history, over time have gone to zero. Even our dollar has lost over 98% of its purchasing power since 1913 (Creation of the FED). Gold is a store of value, and insurance policy if you will. Naturally you don’t put all of your “eggs in one basket.” BTW, if gold is useless, why are all of the Central banks worldwide stockpiling gold?

No normal person uses gold for anything useful, it's not valuable for regular transactions that normal people use. You are not a central bank, a central bank will long outlast an individual human life, so for them, gold is a conservative investment they will actually "live" to see the fruits of.
