A couple of things about this (aka disasters lol): 1) For some reason, the screen recording froze after Pop, so I had to piece together the rest of the clips...probably the most frustrating editing experience I've ever had and it took me SOOO LONG😅 so apologies if it feels a lil disjointed at times 2) I messed up the tallying and it was actually 143 songs (not 149) and Shut Down by Blackpink should technically be at #11 on this list...but luckily I've reacted to it already! "...and then Jihyo just casually has a gun." You don't know how much that made me laugh. Also, what helped me with TWICE was watching their web-show Time To TWICE. You really get a sense of their personalities and plus get to laugh at their comedic nature. I know that's not a typical way to learn how to stan a group, but honestly once you fall in love with them, you start adoring their music 1000% more. You just start seeing their personalities in everything.

The POWER that Girls' Generation holds in the Korean entertainment industry is no joke. In the Forever1 music video they played homage to the careers they each built during the 5 years of hiatus. Four of them (YoonA, Sooyoung, Yuri and Seohyun) are some of the most prolific and sought after actresses in Korea right now, winning many acting awards. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon have created amazing and solid solo music careers, Taeyeon alone has broken many records and had one of the best songs of 2022 with INVU. Sunny is a radio host and one of the most well-known variety personalities in the country. Tiffany came back to the US and released music here, going on a nation-wide tour as well, she is now back in Korea and just debuted as an actress. These women, not only changed the game for girl groups and Kpop as a whole, they are all amazing and respected artists in their own right covering every corner of the industry, is like the Avengers coming back together! Their debut song 'Into The New Wolrd' is like Koreas anthem, it is used in protests and pride parades, basically anytime the people want change, that is influence! I have been a SONE since 2007 when they debuted, and even though TWICE did become my comfort group when GG went on hiatus, no one took them off the top spot for me. Their music is too good to just be replaced. Basically, what the Spice Girls were for you, Girls' Generation was for me. ♥

I would love to see more Twice reactions!! when it comes to Nayeon's Pop, it was released during a time where all the other kpop groups were releasing a lot of "experimental" and edm based songs so Pop had given the listeners a breath of fresh air that was needed during that time were kpop felt oversaturated with intense production

The lyrics in GG's Forever1 "I will love you again in the next life is like a homeage to what SONEs (Girls' Generation fandom name) have said to them in the past decade which goes like this: "If you are still Girls' Generation in the next life, then I will still be your SONE." In the bridge of the song as well, you can hear a bit of their debut song's (Into The New World) iconic instrumental intro which adds reason as to why this song is really nostalgic to listen to. Anyway, loved your reaction to Forever1, looking forward to you checking out on more Girls' Generation songs and guides as well.

Tbh SNSD's 15th year anniversary cb still doesn't feel real to me. They're all so successful in different fields and they need to adjust their solo schedules. 3 of them aren't in SM too. They did this cb for their fans and many of us (SONE, their fans) cried because of it. Taeyeon is singing in a jazz bar (soloist) Sunny is in a limo (going to an award show) Tiffany is in a plane (she lived in America, study in there and debuted in America. Then came back Korea to play Roxie Hart for Chicago musical) Hyoyeon in a dj booth (she's a pro DJ) Yuri is posing (she's an actress) Sooyoung is signing posters etc (she's an actress) Yoona is sitting in a director chair (she's an actress) Seohyun is doing a musical (she's an actress) but in the end all of them are Girls' Generation. They're a team with their fans. There're many references to their discography. The piano part is from their debut song

My daughter is the one who has gotten me into K-pop. I took her to Gidle’s concert for her birthday, so they’re my number 1. But her ult group is TWICE, and so I love all of their stuff. It’s funny when you said that you want to hang out with NewJeans, and I was like no, but they can hang out with my kid since I’m old enough to be their mother, lol. Cookie is the only song I won’t listen to because I feel it has way too much innuendo for children

Billlie has released two other title tracks so far; Ring x Ring (debut, very unique-sounding) and RING ma Bell (most recent comeback, rock sound). They also released Patbingsu (cute, bright, a little bit quirky, they are singing about how much they love the Korean dessert patbingsu lol) this summer which was a project they did with their CEO (it's a remake of one of his old songs)

If you ever get into watching a TWICE guide, I'd highly recommend this one from MinguinMina kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4SVoKWQq5yse5o It's really detailed and recent so it's a good starting point, most guides out there just show memes which really isn't a good guide. I'd also recommend listening to Formula of Love, their best album so far.

The 3 piece outfit you loved in Nyeon's pop would look great on you btw! I almost cried watching Forever 1's chorus when came out :') If you like 1990s pop as you said, Spiece Girls, etc you will LOVE 2010's K-pop because they were heavily inspired by 90's pop/R&B/Hip-Hop (and the 2000s as well ofc). Girls Generations and 2NE1 were my favorite girl groups, and 2NE1 has a lot of influences from Destiny Child, Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga etc, they are referenced to creating the 'Girl Crush' concept and are BlackPink's sumbae from YG Entertainment, and Girls Generations have inspirations from Spiece Girls, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga I feel like, and are Red Velvet, EXO, NCT and aespa's sumbae from SM Entertainment. The boy groups also had major inspirations on artists like NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars etc. My favorites are K-pop Kings BIGBANG, Hallyu Wave Kings Super Junior, and Coreography Kings Infinity and SHINee!

As for Girls Generation: You should try more Girls Generation. It doesn't get more influential than this group in K-Pop. I would suggest to check at least Gee, The Boys, I Got A Boy and Lion Heart (4 of their most popular songs). The debut was "Into The new World" (which is referenced in Forever 1). As for Billlie: I didn't like GingaMingaYo at all but I LOVED their other comeback this year, Ring Ma Bell. It is my Top 3 song of the year :D Would love to see a reaction for that.

After GingaMingaYo (which essentially means "uncertain" or "I'm not sure"), you should really check out their debut, Ring X Ring (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2rNmauFrMiUrZI). That is _also_ weird, in a totally different way, and I think was quite a divisive debut; many (including myself) consider it a work of insane genius, others were turned off by that, but GMY certainly won some of those round. The intro is actually part of a piano version of "a sign ~ anonymous" (here's a Harry Potter-themed dance practice: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rovRgmdnmKiKabM), used as part of the soundtrack for the story film that accompanied this mini-album. They go _deep_ with their lore, and it permeates virtually everything they do, but without taking anything away from the sheer quality of the music they put out... which as I think you're seeing just from the two tracks you've seen, is _extremely_ diverse. 36:40 _That_ is Dream Vader. So far, that's its only official appearance, so we don't know much about it aside from bits of side material they've posted. I suspect it may make an appearance when they have their next comeback at the end of March... But yeah, those "starry marbles" do appear to be different universes. Trust me, you're gonna _love_ Billlie. I took a while to properly get into them, but when I did, I fell _hard._ And Hyein from NewJeans is Hye-in (혜인). Might be time for that Hangeul crash-course; you'll never mispronounce a K-pop member's name again... 😜

"Gingaminga" is an expression to say that someone is strange, I think? "yo" is a common ending for verbs in Korean. So they made the expression "gingaminga" into a verb. Doing gingaminga, being strange. Please correct me if I'm wrong
