Listen I agree Hurts didn't have the production he had in 2022 and needs to do some things better, but to say he isn't a top 10 QB is blatantly disrespectful. He was the sole reason the team was 10-1 this season in the first place. The collapse sucked and I really think that just put a bad taste in everyone's mouth, but he was far from the main reason for the collapse. And you said Dak was in the MVP talks, which he was but Hurts never was is a flat out lie. He was quite literally atop the MVP race after the Bills game.

I can answer your question @4:30-ish. They knock Burrow because he was hurt he’s the real #2, Allen is incredibly mistake prone. Press box view hides his mistakes where end zone view doesn’t. Meaning a lot of his mistakes show up on film (had a check down in the divisional game that he missed for a first down which lead to the missed field goal). Lamar just doesn’t show up in the playoffs “almost” Dak Prescott esc. Brock this season had two playoff comebacks one being down by 17 at half time. And a game winning drive against Green Bay with a #22 ranked OL pass block efficiency in the NFL. There’s only one other QB that faced that sort of adversity in the playoffs when it actually matters and turned out victorious and that is Pat Mahomes in 2019. Regular season Dak, Lamar Rogers season, but playoffs is where it matters most. Brock is one of the top 5 guys pretty much hands down.

allen isn't that mistake prone. if you look at how many sacks he avoids (hes arguably the best in football at this) his turnover worthy play rate was also not super high while leading the nfl in big time throws. allen is a monster. purdy is top 5 if u take the entire offense and coach he has with him sure. but if you remove him from his situation he is not top 5. that's how i see it. he's in the ideal situation for him to succeed and many others are not.

He does get himself out of predicaments, but if you can progress through your reads properly he won’t be in them to begin with which is why Brock and Burrow have highlight reels that involve what appears to be basic throwing to wide open receivers. If you see the film they were not open until after the ball was thrown. Yes Allen has flashy highlight reel like Lamar, but if you can’t manage a game in high pressure environments what does it matter? Allen is known for throwing redzone picks and and Lamar just isn’t regular season Lamar in the playoffs. Big time throws? Did you mean tight window throws? Because Brock actually lead the league in that. I do have literally 1 video I posted and will be the only one I ever post. It’s him playing the Superman role. Take a look and you can definitely see he’s doing everything those top guys are. But 95% of the time he doesn’t have too because he can properly progress through his reads. 💯. If I showed you the stat line for Purdy last year without telling you who it was and when it was, you'd probably say it was made up. Then, you'd say it was probably from Brady's best year, or some other Hall of Famer. It was statistically that good. He set all-time NFL records in some categories and was top 3 in all of them. But because he was picked last, and because he's not 6'4", and because he doesn't throw 80 yards (like that's a common NFL play that winning teams use), you say he's not as good as the guys you like, who he regularly beat and who didn't achieve half of what he has done in his 1.5 years of starting NFL games. He led the league in two, TD passes PERCENTAGE(a minor category at 7.0% / by comparison Patrick Mahomes was 8.6% in 2018) and Yards per attempt(a big one), but not even close to the all time NFL records in EITHER. Purdy's YPA of 9.6 was excellent but, Ryan Fitzpatrick(2018) and Ryan Tannehill(2019) also were at 9.6 and they were NEVER considered top 10 NFL QB's sheesh . Passer rating - 113.0 yep, Purdy led the league / Patrick Mahomes 2018 113.8 / and Patrick also threw for 5,097 yards and 50 TD's to Purdy's 31TD's and 4280 yards - that is NINETEEN more TD's and over 800 more yards, right. . Alex Smith 2017 also led the entire NFL in passing and the Chiefs to the playoffs. And Alex Smith had been playing solid QB in the NFL for years. He was NEVER the #2 QB in the NFL he was an average NFL QB his entire career INCLUDING 2017 . Brock Purdy played on an offense with FIVE or SIX 1st or 2nd team all pros, it was THEM carrying him, NOT the other way around. Brock Purdy is not(at least not yet) a top 10 NFL QB. Sheesh. you 49'ers fans are f-ing delusional, every time you get a halfway decent QB he must be the greatest ever. He's the first quarterback in NFL history to register a passer rating of 95.0 or higher in each of his first six career regular-season starts. You mention Garapalo and Kaepernick. You won't find me defending either of those. Purdy simply out-played the other QBs in the league last year. Youay not believe in him, but outside of Cam Newton, who just seems to be jealous that he's not still in the league, Purdy is getting high praise from nearly every former great QB. Specifically, Montana, Young, Kurt Warner, as well as Alex Smith, Jeff Garcia, and others. Furthermore, his team believes in him. You won't find a single Niner that thinks they are carrying Brock. Even the ones who have left won't throw any shade in his direction. If Trey Lance was doing what Brock is, he'd be consensus top 5. But because he was drafted last, all of the big brains on KZbin believe that he can't possibly be as good as he is. Despite taking his HS to multiple state championships, and being a 4-year starter at Iowa State, and becoming that program's greatest player ever. Yes, it's a minor school, relatively speaking, but he beat a lot of better teams. You bring up the number of pro bowlers. If Purdy wasn't good, those guys probably wouldn't be making g the Pro Bowl either. Last time I checked, receivers can't throw themselves the ball, and Purdy sells the ay action extremely well, so it opens up the passing, as well as the running games. I get the feeling that people like you won't be happy unless Purdy goes out there with only a 150 lb. 60-year-old center and a receiver who runs a 6 second 40 and goes 17-0, and is SB MVP. And even then, you'd claim his defense carried him. So, this my ask of you. What would it take for you to call him elite? What would he have to do? If your answer is nothing, then you're just a hater and not the big brain you think you are.

I'vs watched many hundreds of QB's come and go in the 60 odd years I have been watching the NFL. I've learned not to start calling one great after one good season, especially one on a team that's carrying him and not the other way around. . If he has at least two more years, where HE plays at an elite level and HE raises the level of the players around him, and HE makes big plays in big games at big times, you know, like Patrick Mahomes has for SIX years, then I'll call him an elite QB, but not after one full season. Lamar hasn’t been more consistent than allen in what aspect because Lamar has more career regular season wins than Josh Allen only second to Mahomes as far as active players Lamar has carried a worst team then Josh Allen had to carry Josh Allen with the talent he’s had since 2020 has never won the AFC once Lamar has done it twice so in two separate seasons, Lamar has won the AFC twice one season with significantly less help than the other Josh Allen with help hasn’t won as many games nor the AFC but is more consistent??? And check Josh Allen’s rookie and sophomore year campaign. Everybody keeps talking about his production, but he was at the bottom of the league in completion percentage almost 2 years in a row. His rookie season started 12 games went 5-6 & 10-6 in his second season with a first round lost in playoffs since stef got their Josh has made the jump & still has come up short stef made allen he won’t have the same success with stef gone now & since Lamar has started in the league. He’s never been under .500 with less help can’t say the same about Allen but Josh has been more consistent than more Lamar???

Allen has been more productive in pretty much every season since 2020 including this year, he has been more consistently in the playoffs and leading his team. Hes been way better in the playoffs. just look at their careers since 2020 and compare season to season consistency. Allen has been top 3 or 4 every year. Lamar has been elite in 2 seasons, good in other seasons or hurt
