The thing about Tim is he can actually sing, with understandable diction, melody, and even vibrato in those low notes, without resorting to a gimmicky growl as some others do. He hits the lows, yet still has control, and can continue to other bass line notes as if he were an organ or piano.

One thing that sets Tim apart from Geoff is that he can show off his range consistently at live shows not just in the studio. Whereas Geoff has a hard time doing it live, but can only do it in a studio setting with lots of editing.

You know we were waiting for that face when Tim went up, right? the guy in the control room is Chris Chatham, who Tim has been singing and writing with for 20+ years. They were in a group together. If you can sit still through that, you need to check your pulse. Tim has other solos, and he does Duets with Peter Hollens. Adam Chance has a new single, and he has some excellent collaborations with The Hound & The Fox. And that short was a phone video and live, so even more impressive than a recorded one.

If you see Home Free live, when Tim goes low he will literally make you rumble in your seat, you can feel it in your chest, it's such an amazing experience. I saw them live four times last year, & already have tickets for this fall. I highly recommend going to see Home Free if they're anywhere near you, I promise you will not regret it. 🍟❤️

There are 3 other videos of songs on his album: Come Go With Me; In My Room; and Since I Don't Have You. He also has a great version of I Can't Help Falling In Love. Search the title with his name because it isn't on his channel. It's from before he joined Home Free and I think he accompanies himself on the piano.

I don't know if watching "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" on Austin's channel will help or hinder you in hitting that note! However, Tim Foust's 5+ octaves might be encouragement. I love his doo-wop CD "Pieces of Me" but I love his voice and I've always loved doo-wop. Tim's duet with Peter Hollens of "Greensleeves" is the best I've ever heard. Austin has a new duet out of "Never had a dream" with Makena Hartnet (on Austin's channel) that's just gorgeous.

It's kind of mindblowing to hear all of his registers singing in the same chord. The doowop album is fantastic. Yeah, I love Chris back there in the booth rockin' away. Oh! I almost missed the live dragonbreath. Oh, yeah. Saw them do this live. The entire room vibrated. So, have you seen Austin's new duet with Makena Hartlin? It will blow you away.

So ya gonna listen to this old gal and take a listen to Brothers in Arms now? Or do a search for "Tim Foust Subwoofer Mode" when he shakes the room (literally) and blows out sound systems, Ring of Fire when he out-basses Avi, Down to the Honky Tonk, Sold, or one that has enough bass to hurt your eardrums; Honey I'm Good. Maybe react to some of their fun songs like Butts Remix, Hillbilly Bone, or Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget? They are all hilarious and then it hits you that there's no instruments! Love your reaction, though. Keep up the good work. Peace and love from Kentucky!

People usually are introduced to Tim's lower notes in Home Free's Ring of Fire featuring Avi Kaplan . When Home Free was on the acapella competition The Sing-Off, Home Free did Ring of Fire with Tim hitting an even lower note than he did later with AVi. With their performance of Ring of Fire, Home Free received a standing ovation from the audience and the judges. Ring of Fire was a major turning point in Home Free's career. They realized that they could actually win The Sing-Off at that point. Before The Sing-Off, Home Free performed at state fairs, cruises, and corporate events. They auditioned for The Sing-Off with no idea of winning. They merely wanted to be on television and widen their audience. These are very humble guys. The Sing-Off competition made them become more aware of their abilities and made them to begin to challenge themselves beyond their comfort zone. Winning The Sing-Off changed their careers completely. You might be interested in a duet with Tim and Austin. The song, My Maria, has Tim singing the higher notes instead of Austin. It also has the guy in the control booth in Tim's solo, Chris Chatham, singing and playing a guitar solo.

Oh, I hope you got the part! One of my all time favorite musicals. And I especially love that song. You sounded great. Oh, and please be careful not to over strain that voice of yours. I sang soprano when I was young, but I didn't have proper training, and I messed up my vocal chords over the years, and I can't do what I used to. Please be careful. And give an ear to Austin's new duet and Chance's duet. Good stuff.

Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.

Tim can blow speakers in concert, and has done on more than one occasion. His range and control are equally amazing! I love your reaction to both the solo and the short. Can't think of a better warm-up artist for you than Tim! Good luck with your audition! "Jesus Christ Superstar" was a rock opera that shook the classical universe in the 70s, and it remains an Andrew Lloyd Webber masterpiece to this day. I wore out both my vinyl copy and the printed score (piano)! I would love to hear you sing those wonderful compositions!

Tim effortlessly hits those notes because he’s had many years of fine tuning his music. When you are stretching your chords to the point of laryngitis, you aren’t doing yourself any favors. If you can’t comfortably hit the note, work on it, don’t push it. You’ll have a longer career. btw, great reaction!

I started falling in love with a Capella groups about 3 years ago, and never looked back .💗 Just the skill alone, in creating instruments like in a band, with just their voices, sets these groups apart from all the rest, and their skills are beyond mention! Another thing I also appreciate as well, is they are able to cross genres with ease, as in the case, with Home Free is generally Country, they can also do soul, rock pop, and everything in-between. I would love you to check out another a Capella group called Pentatonix, who like Home Free, also won their competition on the Sing Off competition 😊💗

Do you understand Tim even did his on beat box during this. He did all of this. It took him 17 takes only to record all parts. Dude, he's blown speakers, they advise pregnant women to sit in the back. Tim was a tenor as a boy with his voice change his low base hit. He never lost his high tenor. So what you called a falsetto, most of the time, was his voice. He is known as one of the best basses in their vocal genre. Because they have adam they refer to themselves as a vocal band. Because adam, the beat boxer, sounds like a complete band from drums to horns. Oh, great song with Tim featured is home free Brothers in arms
