100% agree on the reading of "negative"cards. I like to read to empower. To say, welp, awful stuff is coming around the corner for you, good luck with that, is not the kind of reader I want to be. I'll either read them as recent past that we can look to resolve, past traumas coming up for attention, or at least getting enough context or advice on how to navigate it so they feel they have something to work with and not just feel f*cked. I wouldn't look to a Tarot reading to tell me that my life is going to implode. It's more like, my life has imploded, now what?

I 100% agree its not always easy to read professionally because people are more often than not in destress. We not only have to read the card but read people see their vulnerability and find a compassionate way of reading for them. Thanks for you insights lovely xxx

For me of the opinion on jumpers, I read them when at least three pop out maybe four but I always shuffle my card three times before flipping cards. It helps with being a ritualistic mindset if that makes sense to get an accurate reading. But if ten fall or jump out I’m reshuffling.

I agree, I think it's great to have a system that resonates with you that leaves no grey area. I have a similar rule that if a chuck of cards fall out, I don't use them. But I have a strong system now where I do use jumpers heavily, I actually explain this in my most recent video. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! :) xxx

I always love your videos, especially involving tarot. :) You do such a great job and are so talented! For me personally, I have always thought that reversals (which of course are not always negative and can soften the impact of negative cards as well as adding nuance to readings) are integral to a proper reading, especially since the spread I use as my staple (Celtic cross) is meant to be read as a whole picture, and not using reversals would limit the vocabulary of the cards by half. For what it's worth, I think a lot of readers would benefit greatly by checking out "A Complete Guide to the Tarot" by Eden Gray (1970), which is the only tarot "bible" I have ever seen that has great insight and is right on target.

Ahhh Mike I'm so greatful for you and your kindness, you have inspired me a lot since joining youtube :) I actually have switched to reading reversals again, I change it up with different decks. I'm always shifting and changing my practice. I don't think there is ever really a right and wrong way to read tarot but recently have been really enjoying reading reversal again. Thanks for your insights :) xx

I don't do readings for others. If they ask, I just say I don't need the cards. "If you carry on as you are...". Always unpopular! 😄💜

I am just in the beginning of my journey and have recently gotten into tarot I am finding there is alot of people thaf do those collective readings which makes it hard to find videos on actually learning about the tarot.... Also I feel as though within the spiritual/witch community there is alot of you need to buy this and buy that and wrap your tarot in clothe which I feel as though thats a very new and modern thing ( as I doubt people back in the day were making it super obvious that they practiced such things by using "special " or very specific items.... Just my thoughts on the matter...

I agree I think everyone is free to practice with the tarot however they wish. I too felt that pressure in the beginning but I don't feel the need to be so precious with my decks. They are fine to chill and be until I need them.
