Hey Erik! Do you know why there wasn’t much attacking from the middle in this set? I know you weren’t with the team for this match but maybe just from your understanding of both teams and how they play you can explain. If not, no worries! Thanks for the videos!
@ErikShojivolleyball2 жыл бұрын
I don't know exactly why neither team set the middles a ton in this set. The passing was fine for both teams so I'm not exactly sure. Could have to do with scouting report or simply that teams felt more comfortable setting to the pins. Japan relies heavily on their position 2 and 4 attack but their middles are sneaky good. Im sorry i wish i had a better answer for you!

Hey Erik! I very much enjoyed this video, especially because you zoomed in on passing strategies at one point. I started playing libero for the first time this season (former setter), and I'm struggling with the positioning of the passers. I want to be able to instruct my passers and myself to be in a good passing position in every rotation, but I'm still trying to find out where it is we have to stand (basically I'm just bluffing and telling my passers where to stand without having any idea what makes sense). Could you help me out on this one? I was hoping maybe you could make a few comments on this in your next video, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading! Much love from the Netherlands, Marnix
