ngapeth is just one of those players that, when you see them play, looks like he doesnt care at ALL ab being on court. THATS how effortless his skill is, it's truly remarkable
@Adullith2 жыл бұрын
Ngapeth is from my city in france, a small one. He is from one of the district that is known to be the "hood" of Poitiers. And some people from this town see him as someone with a high ego, and a prick somehow. That's funny, because when you know how he is seen in international volleyball, he is an incredible player. I'm happy to see how people from other countries consider him ! He truly came from the bottom to the top !

Loved this match Erik, what a fight back. Speraw almost pulls an Alekno. I remember one of my coaches saying sometimes you just want the best players on the court, even if they are not in their normal position. Though I think this holds more for the amateur level than at the top. But hey! Ebadipour just played middle for Milano and they almost beat Piacenza in 5, so it happens. Garrett played the best I have ever seen him in this match - some of his hits were epic. TJ did great coming in at Opposite. Aaron had one heck of a summer, so good to watch!
@ryanma98292 жыл бұрын
You know what Erik, at the beginning of the third set, the FIVB commentator Clayton was intrigued by the opposite switch in Team USA. He said he would be eager to see whether it was a decisive and magical switch like the unexpected Muserskiy sub for Team Russia in the London Olympics final. What's more interesting is that the commentator of that great comeback was Clayton himself, so I really hoped TJ could step out to turn the whole thing around. The result was a pity but you guys really put up a fight, and I do believe Speraw was really bold to make such a choice. Good luck for the club plays.

Post-Toyko, Team USA is on a positive trajectory. They came so close but fell short on just a couple of missed serve receptions and errors in two epic 5th sets this season (here against France and then against Poland at the World Championships). But I love the way this team played and fought and can't wait to see them go for gold in Paris. (Also despite a few errors this match, having Aaron Russell back has been huge!)

This was the day I became a fan of the USA men's national team. France came in so strong in the first couple of sets I was sure this would be a 3x0, y'all's fight in the third and fourth sets was a beautiful thing to watch and truly a masterclass to any other team on how to take back a seemingly hopeless game. Anyway, despite the loss, congratulations on a beautiful match!

I saw this game. When France won two sets, I didn't think America would come back and win two more sets. It's a pity that America lost in the game. It was a very interesting game and DiFalco, Christian Son and you were great. But I hope Iran will win American football after losing very badly to England. Greetings from Iran.

what was the main improvement that you saw in the US team that led you guys into reaching finals this year? (and such a massive improvement too in a short amount of time! especially if you compare the team's placing the year before in VNL) did something in the system change, was it something that newer additions to the team brought to the table or was it simply bc there was more time to practice since the pandemic wasn't affecting scheduling as much? manifesting that VNL comes back to the PH so i can see you play 🙏

The semi's vs. Poland had similar issues. They were bombing serves and USA had trouble fighting them off and at least putting it in play. Easier said than done I'm sure but I would say it's definitely USA's weakness. USA has top tier defense with you behind the blocks, great offense run by the best setter Micah, and great athletic hitters. Just need that serve receive! lol
