Loved your reaction, definitely the cinematic still version really brings through the warmth of the song. Also it’s really accurate for whom sings what. In terms of the storyline the first MV the red jacket Tae we spend the MV with is not real neither is any of the other people, they are all sculptures, a creation, the MV is almost like the day Red jacket Tae he’s been created and we spend the day with him till he comes to the realisation at the end of the MV. He is a sculpture because he has the V mark on his neck too. The sculpture sculpted the female protagonist but was in turn himself sculpted by Tae. The Press releases by the company references the Pygmalion myth so it must have a feature in this MV, a sculpture that brings to life an ideal creation and falls in love with it, but I think it’s very clear Tae gave the myth his own spin too, because the second half of the MV deviates from the myth significantly. Sculpture Tae comes to the realisation that he’s not real in the scene where we directly see the V (creators signature) on his his neck. They deliberately show it on her too to remind us exactly where the mark is and he is touching on his own neck when he comes to the realisation. As mentioned the protagonist we spend the MV with is a sculpture. The sculpture he unveils at the end with the cloth is his bust. This shot gets lost cause it’s not made obvious and blurs with the next scene that shows the female sculpture disappearing. But His body double who also stood in for the sculpture posted on insta and we see a closer look at the male bust which is Tae’s double. in the making scenes you see his sculpture clearer. Also in the MV the hand smudging his face (his own) and in turn his hand smudging the sculpture is another clear indication of this. He also sculpted all the other party goers. He then realises they are not real at the end. Like life at the museum they scarper/disappear when the curator (creator comes back). At the end he reaches acceptance while being sad at the realisation he’s not real and that it wasn’t real. The song lyrically is not connected to the first MV. Park Hyo Shin & Tae wrote the song together and both are credited as writers & composers (with other writers). It came about as Park Hyo Shin said from drinking wine together and chatting together over music and Tae in his press release said he hopes and that he wants us to spend a warm time with the song and our loved ones beside us. I love both MV’s and while the first one is so beautiful from a cinematography, fashion, & Artistic viewpoint & it’s also melancholy due to the storytelling and is very rich, I love the cinematic still version more because it conveys the message of the song better, and it reflects the warmth of the song so well. The cinematic still version I feel it conveys the meaning of the song. I could see it being used as people’s first dance at weddings too cause in it, it reaffirms being together through all the seasons and that where we are together is paradise. P.s where you thought Tae was singing with himself on the track, it was Park Hyo Shin harmonising. It was also new for him to tackle jazz, he is very much associated with Ballads & musical theatre. He is also regarded as one the greatest South Korean vocalists. So for him & Tae to be so beautifully matched and compatible vocally is a testament to Tae’s beautiful vocals too. Would love to hear even more from the two together. P.p.s For knowing accurately who sings which part defo recommend re-examining the cinematic still version, it’s very accurate seeing them sing. The black jacket Tae is the real one (the one in pain) he created red jacket Tae and the unfinished girl sculpture and all the sculptures, sculpture Tae woke up and thought he was the real one and completed the girl sculpture, and all the other sculptures came to life for the party, that's when it started to feel off with how they point the light at him and doing weird faces, he tried to play along, but the return of the real one blew up his bubble and he realised non of it was real, he wasn't real, just a creation

'Winter Ahead ' MV slighly has the " Pygmalion " element ( Sculpture came to life ) But Taehyung take the story line a different direction for screenplay ....... he is Brilliant very creative Such a Genius Artist!! ❤ They both had separate sulptures..... the one with CLOTH on his head is IDOL V created / Manifested by Kim Taehyung &The GIRL Sculpture ( Armys ) Created / manifested by IDOL V You can see both sculptures in same scenes when TAE meet V and MV shoot sketch video My MV interpretation : The STARDOM ( Stage / Theater ) created by IDOL persona V in Red jacket and The GIRL (Armys ) , The ppl arround him in white dress ( his creations ) all these = his Happiness = PARADISE disapeared in the End......... IDOL V just accepts the REALITY that the STAGE , LOVE from Armys , and everything that surrounded by him = PARADISE is just were there for Short period of time ......... after that HE himself the only one ( Real persona Kim Taehyung in black ) he has to RELY on in life.................. Just a little fyi...shirtless Tae was in teaser 1😉 Love this song so much. I am also not a fan of Christmas but I truly hope you watch White Christmas. 💜

Austin, V and park hyo shin co wrote and composed this song about 2 years ago and then he filmed the mv whiled he was in France for the Celine show. Also Park hyo shin does musical theatre and you can tell with the vocals compared to V’s singing.
