VoicePlay just owns Disney covers and Layne's arrangement of this was just brilliant! Cesar was really feeling this one and Ashley was a perfect guest. Their interaction was great. Eli amazing as always and loved the bald part. Layne SINGING!! and his ending was inspired. And then, Geoff. I laughed so hard. It took me a bit to realize he was Emilio the shape shifter. The shorts idea was his and he's really cute with fuzzy knees and black and yellow socks--the BTS was as hilarious as the video was. Geoff is doing Big Bad John next and hooo boy does he hit the basement. He does and awesome video tweak at the end too.

Layne outdid himself on this one. As a Patreon perk, he had a Zoom call with some of us as he was working on the arrangement. He had in mind Ashley as his first choice, and I’m so glad that worked out. She was terrific! (And it helped with costuming that Geoff is only one female size larger than Ashley.). He also knew then that he was going to use his daughter’s remote control rat (Remy.). He often borrows from her for their props. They have so much fun on set and I think that joy really comes through in this video. Thank you for letting us watch you enjoy it.

Yay! I am so glad you reacted to this one. I knew you guys would get a lot of laughs from it. Especially with Geoff’s wardrobe change and scream. Interesting fact about the scream, it was a goat scream that Layne edited in post production. Although for the shoot, Geoff did scream and it was pretty close. Hope the move is going well.

Kazandra and Sarah, Geoff freaking Castellucci replied to my question on his patreon! My day was sucking until I read the notification. I had asked about complexity of arranging videos vs just the music. Also asked about if they were in theater growing up. He replied that video arranging depends on how deep they go and as far as being in music theater, they were mostly in chorus but interested in theater through their career. I am still in malfunction mode. 🤪 Gotta love Geoff. ❤

Mans is playing Camillo the shape-shifter character who sings the "seven foot frame" part in the original looking like Bruno. That's why he turns into Isabella for one of her lines, and it took me so long to figure out. BTW those lines required filming in 60 fps then slowing it down because the flower petals needed to fly further, so they basically brought out a leaf blower. Also Geoff's scream was literally the stock goat bleat sound effect, he almost matched it on set but they decided to throw in all the memes. Just listen to the BV's after the word "umbrella", IDC if it's copyright infringement, it's hilarious

This is such a fun production. You can’t tell because he is seated, but Geoff is wearing pink shorts that match Ashley‘s since he’s playing a female lead there. Also the portion with the rose petals had to be filmed with everything going double speed so that when they slowed it down for the video the rose petals would be floating by rather than just blasting into their faces which is what really was happening🌸(To get the petals to move fast enough so they didn’t drop to the ground and also to get Ashley’s hair to flow like that they actually had to use not only a fan but a leaf blower!) But even with thise pink shorts, Cesar and Layne stole the show. Between Cesar’s facial expressions and reactions, and Layne not only beatboxing but rapping Dolores‘s lines and providing the bass line when Geoff was busy, they were a powerhouse.

Their BTS is worth a watch, it's pretty funny on its own! In their podcast Geoff tries to put the blame on Layne for it, but Layne wasn't having it, he clarified it was his idea to have Geoff sing that line, and it was in fact Geoff who said something to the effect of, "Wouldn't it be funny if..." and so we have what you saw. Every reactor that sees this talk about Geoff being Bruno, but if you've seen the movie, you would realize that Bruno wasn't IN the movie yet - they only showed up when Cameleo turned into him.... Voiceplay presented this by having Geoff take parts of different characters, including taking Ashley's solo over .. btw I heard, but haven't confirmed that Geoff's scream was actually the "Screaming Goat" inserted. Wonderful reaction.
